Exercise just a few minutes a day for lifelong health.

Making time to exercise can be tough, but it is an undeniable fact that exercise is a very healthy activity. It helps to build strong muscles, promote balance, increase endurance, and is also a effective mood booster. Even a perfect diet and the best vitamins and protein powders should be supplemented with a regular exercise routine.

Fortunately, new research finds that all hours of the do not have to be all devoted to exercising. According to the American Heart Organization and the American College of Sports Medicine, people just need two strength training sessions and either 150 minutes of mild aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of intense cardio each week. Getting just this much exercise is linked to a drastically lower risk of heart disease, strokes, and cancer.

This much exercise is actually quite doable, especially considering that one minute of higher-intensity exercise is worth two minutes of moderate cardio. Just running for 10-15 minutes a day and making sure to work out all major muscle groups twice a week is enough to stay on the health track.
