that doesn't sound like an option not because you're not right but that it may not be feasible. i doubt the US will sanction Israel or stop supporting them since this country for some reason are indirectly run by them. and since we can't go back in time and undo the decisions that's been made that has led us to this point, to this hatred between nations, we must still face the fact that there is still the threat of Iran arming itself which the west and surrounding arab nations (i don't see Iran having muslim backers except maybe Egypt) find unacceptable. do you really, if say you're an american, want them to have those bombs? an anti-western regime who has backed terrorists and can in the long term plan worse things. Forget Israel. Would we really feel comfortable with Iran having N bombs.
again i'm against war but there's few options at the moment short of just caving in and letting Iran have its N bomb. i would support more sanctions but a lot of nations are already backing out and understandably so. How long will the influence of the US hold them in.
Now at the moment, there is a sort of world order. if the US loses the possible "world war 3" that's all gonna change and are we prepared for that. who's supporting Iran - China. Russia. is North Korea in the mix? is the world prepared for the world order to change in favor of totalitarian regimes. that will be the question then. Criticize the US as much as you want, hate them later (the US is unpopular right now as it is), but right now - i'd support their decision not because of Israel but because I don't want the alliance Iran has formed, I'm wary of their anti-western stance and their support of terrorists and because i don't want them having those bombs. Their mockery of the United Nations, their hatred of any Western-backed organization will keep them as a threat.
