, Zuckenberg's plan to get entire planet online. (on Facebook, actually...). -Every one of us. Everywhere. Connected.-Today, the internet isn't accessible for two thirds of the world. Imagine a world where it connect us all-Is Connectivity a Human Right? -The richest 500 million have way more money than the next 6 billion combined. You solve that by getting everyone online, and into the knowledge economy — by building out the global Internet - Mark ZuckenbergMaking the Internet Affordable
This reminded me of another "let's give internet to the people, and solve all the world's problems, woot woot" Google's Project Loon. http://www.google.com/loon/
I totally agree with Bill Gates: "When you’re dying of malaria, I suppose you’ll look up and see that balloon, and I’m not sure how it’ll help you. When a kid gets diarrhea, no, there’s no website that relieves that. Certainly I’m a huge believer in the digital revolution. And connecting up primary-health-care centers, connecting up schools, those are good things. But no, those are not, for the really low-income countries, unless you directly say we’re going to do something about malaria."
So Mark, anything about malaria, hunger and poverty?
