This was a GREAT conversation! John Harris and I trade off wonderful observations for a jam-packed hour and fifteen minutes non-stop!
The Abundance Project - Aspiration vs. Goal-Setting
With +John Harris (do yourself a favor and add him to your circles)
http://empower-yourself.com

This show is inspired by a discussion I had with my students when I taught college and led to me writing an article on aspiration vs. goal setting which they read and then discussed in class. Here is a link to a copy of that:  http://terrybritton.com/Aspiration.docx

Also mentioned were Robert Fritz, author of the classic, "The Path of Least Resistance" who has a Facebook page you should probably go give a "Like" to: https://www.facebook.com/RobertFritzInc and James Redfield, author of "The Celestine Prophecy"  https://www.facebook.com/AuthorJamesRedfield

Future shows will be on the following topics:

Simple Exuberances
Enough love to go around
Money as a gift of praise and thanks
Pay it Forward
Random Acts of Kindness
All there is to Learn (For Free)
People Learning by Teaching
The Universe is in Your Backyard

Past shows:
The Abundance Project - Mindset
The Abundance Project - The Holographic Universe
The Abundance Project - The Seeming Magic of the Working Premise

If some of these sound a bit esoteric, believe me, they all have practical implications and applications! I hope to see you there!

If you would like to be a panelist on any of these programs, please let me know. I can hold up to 9 panelists per show to share in the discussion.

iWonder Education Week 4: "Bringing Joy, Wonder and Fun into the teaching environment" This is probably my favorite video of the series that I've done so far!

This week I speculate on ways that teachers and educators (including software and web/mobile-based) are, have, and may be bringing a spirit of Joy, a sense of Wonder and magnificent Fun into their learning environments. These three elements infuse playfulness - our natural learning environment - into teaching about many things from our childhood and on into our adult learning lives. They are important.

This is the fourth show of a weekly series of programs on several topics related to the new forward movements in restructuring our educational system from the bottom up and the top down. Frequently guest panelists will be on board to share and exchange views on each topic covered.

Future programs will include the following topics:

Self-Organizing Learning Environments (S.O.L.E.s)
Mass Tutoring and Mentoring - Open Rooms
Homework? Redefining Assignments
Laboratory exercises online
The Inertial Drag of Our Educational Institutions
Overcoming Institutional Pushback
The Puberty Effect
Public Learning Events, Happenings, Learn-ins, Festivals

Past shows:
A Sense of Wonder - iWonder Education Week 1 - A Sense of Wonder
Are Brick and Mortar Schools Becoming Obsolete? - iWonder Education Week 2 - Are Brick and Mortar Schools Becoming Obsolete?

If you would like to be invited as a guest to share your own views and insights on any of these topics, or perhaps have suggestions for other topics, please contact me at least a few days before the show you are interested in. I can bring in up to 9 guests per show.

I recently re-organized my regular YouTube channel to include a playlist called "New Educational Directions" -- though some videos I catch are shared in playlists on my iWonderEducation YouTube channel, the ones I catch during informal browsing often will be stuffed into this one! Here it is:  http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLADO0ZcWBBb5qJG0bprvzk1IMewgPnhsK

I found this quite useful to fix missing things connecting my G+ and iWonderEducation website.

Hurray! YouTube Live Events has finally become available for activation on the YouTube channel associated with this page. That means we can have 1080p Live Streaming events now! That inspires me to include more screen shares into the program.

If you have any favorite cutting-edge education websites you'd like me to feature on a show, please add them to the comments below!

iWonder Education Week 3: "Teaching to the Mobile Planet"

This week I speculate on the present and future impact of mobile devices and how they will have an affect on the delivery of educational content planet-wide. The challenges of mentoring, tutoring, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), honesty in completing evaluations, assignments and exams, and tracking a student's progress will be addressed.

This is the third show of a weekly series of programs on several topics related to the new forward movements in restructuring our educational system from the bottom up and the top down. Frequently guest panelists will be on board to share and exchange views on each topic covered.

Future programs will include the following topics:
