It's Kentucky Derby 141 at Hyatt Lou and we're just about as excited as our guests. So much pageantry, tradition -- and hats! Hard not to take the occasional selfie . . . .

The location of this hotel is excellent!! 4th street live is outside the hotel door, the convention center is connected via covered elevated walkway and within a few short minutes walking you can be at the Yum center or Waterfront Park. Getting here via I-64 was a breeze even with all the bridge/road construction going on. I used cash & points along with a diamond suite upgrade and was put in one of the vip suites room 1611/1612. Terrific views of the downtown area and 4th st live, the room was a little dated but nothing I could not deal with for several days. The staff that I encountered were all pleasant and the concierge set me up with a last minute reservation to a terrific restaurant just a short walk away(Doc Crow's).

These people are unprofessional. I am a CEO of a huge film production company and we used this location to hold our conference. First, the lady we spoke to was out. Then they overcharged us for a $340 room that was initially $220. On top of that, the equipment we needed was no where to be found! Then they said they could give us the equipment (a projector) but wanted to charge us $400 !!! To top that off, when our crew came to the front desk asking where the conference was, they told my crew multiple times that there was no conference. We had to go and tell them to let whoever asks, that there is one! We booked the room in advanced and when we got there, they acted like we didn't and would not give us the room key until I pulled up the contract on my email. Worst place to hold any meeting! Do not put yourself thru this same headache. TRUST ME! Its not worth it!

Terrible. Beginning with the first night: we arrived after midnight and the front desk staff was very rude and unaccommodating to say the least. After waiting over 15 minutes, we were told they were unsure whether or not they even had rooms available for our reservation. They were understaffed, but we assumed it was because it was late. Wrong. On several occasions I stood at the front desk waiting for someone to leave the break room which seems to be located right behind the wall at the check-in/concierge desk. Later during our stay I needed to ask the front desk about car service and was ignored when I approached the desk. The list goes on and on. We requested a feather-free room and no pillows or blankets were ever delivered to the room. We reserved a king room, but received two doubles. Back to the disgustingly rude and arrogant staff, when we called to request a late check-out, the same smug front desk worker from the first night was almost combative in tone, as if he had never heard such a request before. Overall, the location is good but the staff and lack of hospitality is not worth more than one night stay if there is no other reservation available at another hotel. We have always had good luck with Hyatt, but in this case our entire party was completely turned off.

Hyatt customer service is AWFUL. I booked a room at the Hyatt for a two night stay in April. My plans changed so I called to cancel my reservation. I was told it was not a problem since it was at least a 24 hour notice. I was given a cancellation number but the charge later appeared on my credit card account. I called to speak to someone at the Hyatt about it but didn't get anywhere with that conversation. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company. The charge was refunded but then charged again after the Hyatt submitted their supporting documentation. I now have to resubmit my documentation ( the cancellation number I was given). All of this for a room that was probably re-sold at a higher rate!!

Stayed there on a Thursday and Friday night, don't think I would have paid full price but for my priceline rate of $90/day it worked out perfectly! Was easy to navigate, staff was friendly, bar was nice to grab a drink. It's location right next to 4th street live was awesome, and was a quick walk to the water. It didn't seem to have all the small details of a 4 star hotel but those types of things aren't really important to me. Would stay there again!

Rooms were very comfortable. We had to ask for a refrigerator after we unpacked, it was larger than expected when it was delivered by a nice older gentleman. Bathrooms are a little small and without fans. No free WiFi is on the property. The hotel is in a great location, near the free Friday night outdoor concerts just a few blocks away.

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown. 4th Street Live! is a block away (nice place to party/eat while you are in town). Very attentive staff and nice rooms. Close to the airport as well. Biggest bummer? They charge for wifi-and it ain't cheap (14.95 A DAY). C'mon, Hyatt, this isn't 2002!
