We enjoyed staying here for our week vacation. This was our second trip to Key West and the Hyatt helped make it a memorable one. Everything was on point. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. You can see that there is some age on certain area of the resort but honestly it's hard to keep things immaculate when you're in the middle of all this humid, salty air. The Blue Mojito Bar was a great place to grab a drink and snack. We spent several nights hanging out with a drink while watching the beautiful Key West sunset. Over all located in a great spot and close to everything. I would recommend this place to others and hopefully return in the future.

I am hesitant to write a review because my wife and I had such a great time on our vacation, but I felt it necessary to do a write up because there were small things that added up that the hotel could do better about. We stayed at the Hyatt Key West Resort for two nights. I called ahead before we arrived to find out about parking and was notified that we would be charged the resort fee, that included parking, even though we were staying on our free nights from our Hyatt Credit Card. I called the Hyatt Platinum line to double check, because that's not what we are used to with free nights. Hyatt corporate let us know that that is not the case and called the hotel directly and to make sure we were not charged. Check-in was lovely, they had chilled champagne ready for us and the staff was welcoming. When we got to our room however, the bathroom sink was clogged. No big deal, we called down and had them take care of it when we were out at dinner. After dinner, my wife was in the shower and we realized that housekeeping left two shampoos instead of a shampoo with conditioner. I called down and waited for security to bring it up. Nobody came after a few minutes, so I went down to check with the front desk. He wasn't sure what happened and took me to two different supply closets before he gave up saying that they must have been out. The CVS down the street was closed and my wife had to make due with putting lotion in her hair. The next day we spent out and when we came back to enjoy the hotel pool, there was a cockroach sitting next to it that someone must have scooped out. No big deal, it happens, it's Florida. But it sat there all day, right next to where the staff cross the pool area to serve guests. It was still out there after we came back from dinner. In hindsight, of course I should have said something, but I'm on vacation and I think we had expectations that someone would keep the pool area clean, you know, at least a few times a day or something. Finally there was a wedding reception in the event room a couple of doors down. We are on our way back to our room and one of the attendees said something unsavory, that I would not repeat, to my wife as we were passing by. Yes, it is Key West and yes it is Saturday night, but these people were blocking the hallway, completely wasted and disrespectful. This same group of people were people literally screaming outside of our door until about 12:30. I called down at around 11:30 to find out when it was going to wrap up and they said it was already finished, the guests were all leaving, but it still took another hour for it to quiet down. So, all in all: 1. I don't enjoy having to jump through hoops to get things done that are Hyatt policy. 2. I don't like having to do the staff's job of finding shampoo for my wife when it's too late and she's already in the shower. 3. The hotel staff should better communicate to each other and to guests about when they are out of something like conditioner so future guests do not have to put lotion in their hair. 4. The staff should be more attentive to the cleanliness high traffic areas on weekend days, like the pool. I mean, come on, it's Saturday and nobody looked around the pool once all day to clean up? 5. Plan hotel events so they don't keep guests awake at night. I know this sounds harsh, but it's the first time we felt that a Hyatt hotel cared about making money more than about the comfort and satisfaction of the guests. There was minimal staff presence with no managerial presence felt during the whole stay. We loved Key West and it's only a few hours away. But for the price, the service and all the little things that added up, we are not planning our next stay here. And we love Hyatt, it's our favorite hotel chain. That's why we got the credit card. The room felt and looked like a Hyatt, but there was a quality of service and atmosphere missing from why we love it.

Great location nice place our second time staying here but was disappointed this time. We went with friends and booked our trip in July of 2015 for April 2016. We both paid the same price for our rooms and our friends room was larger we discovered after we unpacked and settled. Our luggage was retrived from the hotels holding area with a woman's x-small top attached to the outside of our luggage which we turned over to the girls at the desk with them laughing and apoligizing. Then we received a letter stating that the pool area would be closed one evening but we could use bar area. We were sitting enjoying our drinks and we were asked to leave the bar area. Just not handle well.

Very nice hotel close to sea, for a quiet weekend in Key West. Nice location close to Front St. Suitable rooms and good accomodation. It is a Hyatt. My best choice in Key West

Our destination wedding was at the Hyatt Key West and we could not have been happier. We had about 50 guests which was the perfect size for this venue. Everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived all of our friends and family were welcomed and the staff was attentive from start to finish offering a congratulations everywhere we went! There is a large pool, Jacuzzi, fresh water turtles, and other wildlife through out the property. The food is excellent - some of the best food I have ever had, from the pool area, room service and the wedding none of the food disappointed. This location is perfect for a beach wedding, sunset photos, and for entertaining. The hotel rooms are large, clean and well designed many of them with large bathrooms that made getting ready easy. While they are priced slightly higher than average on Key West it is worth it. They even framed a photo of us and put it in our room when we returned from the reception - a true surprise! We cannot thank Marisela and the staff at the Hyatt enough for making our wedding so special.

Beautiful resort in a great setting. I love the pet turtles they have! Only complaint is that the bed linens need replacing - very well worn and not soft.

We were there for birthday dinner. The food was good, but extremely expensive and small portions. The view outside watching the sunset was fantastic though.
