#WeddingWednesday tip of the week courtesy of theKnot.com
Guests Come First - Get a grip on the approximate number of guests you'll invite before settling on a venue. This will ensure there's ample space for your crew. As a rule of thumb, allow for 25 to 30 square feet per guest. That may seem like a lot, but it's not if you count the space you'll need for the tables, bustling waiters, the band, and the dance floor. http://goo.gl/33IF3g

Everything was wonderful. I had a very enjoyable time. One of your employees in the restaurant, Linda, was very helpful and made my visit excellent. Thank you. I also forgot to sign up for the rewards program. If possible, please sign me up and give send me information because our association stays at the Hyatt Regency hotels a lot. I was never asked about signing up and I have lost a lot of points for not being a member. Thank you.
Response from the owner - a week ago
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear Linda was so helpful for your stay. We have signed you up for the Hyatt Gold Passport program! You should have received an email with all the information but I will send it to you as well.

Staff was great! Rooms were not as clean as I would have expected. I stayed in 2 different rooms. I had to move because of the noise level of some of the guests. I found the floor in the bathrooms in both rooms to be not as clean as I would like to have seen in a hotel that is $200/night. There is limited lightening in the rooms by the bathroom so it is difficult to take advantage of the full length mirror located outside the bathroom. The rooms are a little older and desperately need updating. The lobby is beautiful and they offer several restaurants. The valets are attentive, but during some parts of the day it took forever for them to pull my car around. Unfortunately, if you have a car, you must use valet or walk several blocks to a surface lot. There is a airport shuttle bus offered by the hotel and a taxi stand outside which is definitely a plus!

Pretty good hotel overall, staff was fantastic and friendly, hotel has a modern feel and the rooms are comfortable. Could of nit picks: all of their desk power outlets were lose and my charger kept falling out. Also, my shower did not have a door which was weird.
Response from the owner - a month ago
Thank you for your response. We will look in to the issues you experienced with your charger to see if we can improve these plugins. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon.

Decent hotel, but here's what to know first..... CONS: No customer parking (only valet customer parking at $30/day w/o discount), internet speed (complimentary) was almost like dialup and went in and out, even the PAID high speed internet did not stay connected consistency. PROS: VERY friendly staff always approachable and knowledgeable VERY nice rooms and housekeeping did nice job cleaning up In house restaurant was pricey but good food, ate the breakfast buffet Valet was nice, had car ready when getting to lobby after calling I was here with a school to do my doctorate program, so I had a discount on the room and parking. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Thank you for your review Bill. We do only offer valet parking on site but there are many parking garages that are self park located throughout Crystal City. We appreciate your feedback as it will allow us to improve for the future.

Room was great, very clean and modern. Conference facilities were good with the exception that the escalators didn't go to the 3rd floor where the breakout sessions were. It caused a huge backup at the elevators and many of us went through the service stairs to bypass the elevators.
Response from the owner - 2 months ago
Thank you for your response. We understand the escalators not traveling to the third floor can cause issues during larger conference and we will continue to work on preventing these backups with larger groups in house.

I visit the hotel the weekend on Aug 19-21, 2016 with my husband. The hotel is a very beautiful place to stay. The staff were nice! The only problems that I had, were the kings sized beds didn't have any fitted sheets and I had to get up several times of the night to fix the flat sheet that doubled as a fitted on! The hotel website is very MISLEADING! Said that breakfast and parking was included in the price of the stay! WRONG! There was no free continental breakfast! Breakfast was $18 for the buffet and $13 for continental. Parking was and additional $20-$32 depending if you were parking your own car or using valet service.

Thank you for your review. We do have some room packages that include breakfast and or parking in the rate. These are called our bed and breakfast rooms and and are booked separately than our standard packages that do not include these items. We apologize for any confusion our website may have caused in this and will look in to it to ensure our website is clear on the pricing of these. We appreciate your response and business.
