Hubble can't observe the Sun -- its intense light can damage the telescope. And it doesn't often look at Venus, because other spacecraft are better at those kinds of observations. (When Venus is closest to Earth, and at its best for pictures, it’s also at its closest to the Sun.) But Hubble will be observing the rare Venus transit -- by using the Moon as a giant mirror.
