So I get this table back that the drivers dinged on the way in a door. Was the customer standing in the door way with the bucket of silicon? Pledge.... I hate it.

So I have this rooster that was grown when he was given to us. Then we got another young rooster. The pecking order was established and all was cool. then one night something happened in the coop and the old rooster was out and the new one took over. The birds free range and the oldest rooster has been kicked out of the coop and living in the woods! I have never seen this before, is this commen?

Tomatoes and peppers for now. Plus a lot of herbs. With the time constraints of work, grand daughter, And the rest of this place, this has been the best solution.

It helps keep the cardboard down and wet. It acts likes mulch plus it looks allot better than cardboard. I'll keep posting more pics as things start to grow!

I am going to raise some breed of heirloom chicken. Just wondering if anyone had some breeds that they have tried and liked.

Check with the American Livestock Conservancy to see what heritage breed could do well in your area.

So my granddaughter and I went and got some  Araucanas from or tractor supply store today. We were going to put them with one of our broody bantams but no luck. She pecked at them and moved on so there are 6 little fat birds in the kitchen again.  Our flock is at 19, 2 roosters=plucky Hans fritz and rat bastard!

We had at one point; One-eyed Louie, The Big Guy, and Son of Louie, but Old One-eyes' luck ran out (hawk). We changed the name of Son of to Louie Louie.

So the person who gave us this one thought it was it was a boy, still yet to be determined. I think we have become chicken rescue! we have received 5 chickens from 3 different families. All are free range except at nite when the are in their metal bunker.
