It's a nice hotel, in a great location. service was fine. but for what it cost I would have expected more. no coffee maker in the room ? instead of a bedroom door their was a big thick curtain ? like I said, it's a nice hotel. but for $300+ nighty it did not meet my expectations

Thank you for the note Louis, we do appreciate it! Our Monte Carlo Suites are fantastic rooms and we are in a great location in Downtown Seattle. I do hope you give us another chance. I often host our daily wine hour & would love the opportunity to say hello!

For the most part, it was a pleasant stay. The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. &, while not the most comfortable place in the world, it was still pleasant. However, the room wasn't finished being cleaned before I arrive, nor was it truly clean when they finished with it. There was a piece of used dental floss stuck to the wall of the shower, & one of the towels had a nickel-sized yellow spot on it. Truly a shame, because it was an otherwise perfect stay, but I can't very well write a positive review when something as basic as sanitation was an issue.

I've spent far less and had a better stay! Normally, I stay in a hostel when staying in Seattle. This year I decided to splurge and stay in a nice hotel. Loved the pictures of the interior of Hotel Monaco and the reviews I read were good. When I arrived I was impressed with the ambiance and the staff. All of the staff here are super helpful and friendly. That's about as good as it gets though. I was out late and ordered room service because of the convenience. Was sad to find out that it is just wrapper sandwiches rewarmed. It was very disgusting! The other let down was the comfort of the bed. Usually you can gauge how comfortable the bed is going to be by the price per night you are paying. That is not the case here! The bed is horrible. I've slept on a more comfortable bed in a hostel. Add the horrible bed to the constant noise from the elevator and you have a bad night sleep. Which is never good when traveling! Overall I was disappointed in the amount of money I paid to stay here. Needless to say I won't be returning.

Nice but be ready to pay. Expensive for what you get. Nice staff, a goldfish in the room is a cool touch, excellent room service/food. Wish there was a fan in the bathroom and had a door that actually closed. Would have given 4 stars but being charged $36 a nite for parking knocked them down a star...oh and don't grab that Heineken out of the fridge, it'll cost you $6.00!

The staff (front desk, concierge, valet) were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The lobby was very nice, the restaurant was good, and the room itself was well decorated and very clean. If you opt out of having your room turned over you get a $5 voucher for the restaurant/room service, which was a very nice touch. Good location, walking distance to tons of restaurants, shopping, tourist traps, and bars. The only negative was that the walls are thin and you can hear conversations in the room(s) next to you.

Cool hotel with lots of perks, including a complimentary goldfish in the room (make sure to ask for it) and tea/coffee in the morning. Bathroom door doesn't lock, but that's not a problem for most.
