The staff, to include front desk, bellmen, valets, housekeepers, happy hour servers and anyone else I may be remiss in omitting were FABULOUS. I mean it. Tippy-top notch folks who all went out of their way to provide an exceptional experience for guests. The hotel itself was decorated in an interesting, eccelectic way that was a mix between a 1940s cocktail lounge, a dollhouse, and an acid trip. After two nights I was tired of looking at the wallpaper that featured ducks that, rather than flying, appeared to be falling from the sky after being shot. Maybe it was my imagination, maybe it was whatever they put in the happy hour sangria. Either way, I totally enjoyed my stay, but may have preferred the decor to be easier on the eyes/less seizure inducing. The generosity and graciousness that imbued so much of the experience was to the way in which guests are nickeled and dimed for things that even the unhip chain hotels give away gratis: Internet, toothbrush/toothpaste... It was almost embarrassing to have the little basket of goods on the table with a price list: Oreos! Only five dollars for a package of four! The "intimacy kit" which likely included a condom, lube, some sort of magical sex powder or another, and a feather tickler that probably just made a mess of things sexily sported its price of $15.00. The bottle of water strategically placed at the bedside for when the intimacy kit threatens to burn the bed up had a $5.00 sticker on its lid. "Whoa babe, I mean, you're totally on fire, but could you maybe just get a drink from the tap?" And the cute teddy bear on the bed? The paper tag on his ear says 35 bucks, and the tag looks well worn, like hundreds of strangers faces have hugged it, maybe even after using the intimacy kit. If you ate and drank everything in the basket and the mini bar, which is dangerously possible now that marijuana is legal in OR, you could tack another couple hundred bucks onto your already pretty pricey stay. My suggestion? If you absolutely must break into the goods, choose a snack or drink that you can replace the next day from Walgreens for a fraction of the price.

Service here was top notch. Was very impressed with how well the staff treated us. The 5-6pm cocktail hour was great and really gave the hotel a visiting a friend vibe. Lots of fun!

whether you're human or canine, this hotel has you taken care of. upon entering you'll be greeted by an incredibly helpful and upbeat staff, as well as a sign welcoming all of the dogs visiting. amazing (and large) rooms will make you feel like you live there. the complementary afternoon apple cider and nightly beer and wine in the cozy & comfy hotel lounge, plus live music and classic communal games to play add to the great ambiance. doggie bowls, bed and toy for our furry friend was yet another pleasant surprise. the available doggie daycare was a nice option (though note that it's not free). this could honestly be one of (if not the) best hotel stays I've ever experienced, anywhere.

I really enjoyed this stay with Kathy and Yogi (5 mo. old rottweiler). They had his name on a welcoming board and a dog bed and gratuity in the room. The valets went above and beyond, keeping our truck and luggage the day we checked out long enough for us to go see the Portland Art Museum, 9which does not have a parking garage), and have lunch at Southpark Seafood. All three are on my list to visit again when we can get back to Portland.

Arrived 01/17/2015, departed 01/18/2015 all the Hotel staff were excellent, but i would expect this for the price they charge per night!! The room was 407 on the corner of the hotel, which over looked two streets. The only thing wrong with the room was the toilet/bathroom fan did not work. The hotel restaurant was another matter!! We ate Lunch & Dinner. The lunch menu was small with few choices & like most of the restaurant in the area the menu's are over complicated in there names & ingredients & portions were small!! Sadly for me i had a bad experience at dinner? My Black Cod was under cooked (& am sorry but Cod is like boiling an egg? it's not that hard) after pointing this out they took it away & 10 mins later return the same piece cooked!! I was expecting a fresh fully cooked piece of Black Cod!! (clearly different standards in 4/5 star hotels in Portland) The desert was equally disappointing!! what we ordered clearly had been frozen & not completely defrosted, so was dry & tasteless. This was not taken off the final bill like the Black Cod was!! Would i return? No!! the Hotel was nice, but not worth the price & i would give the Restaurant a miss in the future.
