Although I cannot say that I actually stayed at the Coronado Hotel, I visited it again just recently to stroll through the hotel and immaculate grounds. An amazing classic iconic hotel if there ever was one. The staff is kind, professional yet gracious to even those who are just enjoying the ambiance of this magnificent hotel. Maybe someday I might stay just a night or two before my time is done here... Magnificent.

I really love this hotel, although I've never stayed overnight. It's a beautiful old hotel with an amazing beach front location. Easily one of the most recognizable hotels in the country. The hotel itself is filled with restaurants, boutique shops, a spa, pools and rentable beach covers; not to mention being surrounded by other restaurants and shops in Coronado. If you enjoy historic locations, this is a great place. Between Hotel dels history as a San Diego landmark, it's user in the movie Some Like It Hot, and the stories of it being haunted, you have a lot to go on.

Me and my family stayed last weekend for 3 nights and all i have to say is, "Great customer service!" I have stayed at a lot of hotels, mostly 4 and 5 star, and this was the best customer service I have ever had. Everyone was so happy and accommodating. All the employee's seemed to really enjoy their job and where they are working. I am a business owner and we strive for excellence and good company moral; Hotel Del Coronado has definitely achieved that. I will definitely be staying there again and will highly recommend this place to all of my family and friends. We had a great time, their beach was immaculate, food was delicious, and I just can't say enough about the service. Thank you hotel Coronado for a great long weekend.

Fantastic hotel. Best hotel and setting in San Diego. Even if you can't stay here, cone for a visit and walk through the grounds or beach at least, enjoy their restaurant or shops.

Historic hotel. An artist makes some nice sand castles in front of the hotel. Probably the best Sunday brunch in town of you've got the cash and stomach for the plentiful dining options. Head further west towards North Island air base and you'll find less crowded for sunning. Not the best surf in town, but good for beginners. Shuffle your feet in the summer as sting rays tend to gather there when the water is warm.

Dear Johnathan, Thank you for your review. From watching the sand castles be created on our stunning beach to Sunday Brunch in our Crown Room, it sounds as though you made the most out of your time in Coronado. We hope to see you back in the future. Sincerely, Andre Zotoff General Manager

Historic beach front hotel exceeded our expectations. Beautiful lobby with spacious rooms and hallways. It felt like we were stepping back into the 1920's . Plenty of on site dining options and an array of upscale stores on the basement level. Pools were large with a unique hot tub. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. This hotel has lots of nooks and crannies to explore and spend your day in. It's also within walking distance from the islands main shopping and dining areas.

Not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination. I reserved a Victorian Room in the Main Building, which the hotel staff bumped me to an adjoining building, the interior of which looked like a renovated Travel Lodge, without asking me. They said it was "bigger", and while I'm sure it was just big enough for the manager to tell me that ave have it be technically true, I have also seen the inside of the room that I was supposed to have, and can say without question that the quality of the room was a significant downgrade. The food in the snack shop and restaurant wasn't even as good as a Dunkin Doughnuts, and was almost quadruple the price. My dad and girlfriend stopped by on a Sunday morning and we ordered the most over-priced room service I have ever seen. When the food arrived, there were only two plates. They had completely forgotten my girlfriend's order! Not they forgot to bring it up. They forgot to make it! And I don't mean they didn't hear me when I placed the order, her order was on the receipt! To top it off, the food wasn't even as good as an Ihop. There was very little water pressure in either the shower or the toilet, the carpet was stained, and is there anything else worth mentioning? Oh yeah... racist bell hops! I was standing at the check in desk, and the manager asked a bell hop to "Help these people with their bags" (pointing at a group of people standing right behind me. The bell hop looked slightly confused, walked up to my son and I, who didn't have any bags, and said "You?" Before realizing the manager meant the people behind us. The only thing he said by way of explanation was "Meh, you people all look alike to me." and then grumbled "White people." When he thought I was out of ear shot. To top it all off: parking. When I checked in, the manager gave me a ticket, good for four days, which would give me access to the parking lot, and would only cost $37 for my entire stay, instead of $37 every time I left and came back, which I would have appreciated, EXCEPT when my receipt was given to me after I checked out, they charged me the parking fee each day! Not worth the money. In any way. Save yourself $600 a night and book a room at the Sheraton. The quality is much better, and they won't try to move you in the ghetto of their own hotel.

Went to the Del to listen to Gonzo play some live music at the bar. He was fantastic! The vibe was great, and the drinks were good. A nice place to hang out for drinks and good times.
