Happy #throwbackthurday ! Pretty soon we'll be decorating our enormous Christmas tree in the lobby, so to celebrate here is the historic photo that inspired the Boulderado to bring this tradition back.
This 1975 photo shows one of our most famous permanent guests (someone who lived at the hotel full-time during the '60s and '70s). Walter Lawry was such a figure in the local community that an alley was named for him; Lawry Lane in Downtown Boulder traces the path Mr. Lawry would take from the hotel to his favorite restaurant.
License No. 1 is celebrating the latest Warren Miller film's release by showing vintage Miller films all week! Be sure to check them out before and/or after seeing the newest film at the Boulder Theater.
It has been a mighty big year so far for us at the Boulderado. We're just finishing up a historic roofing project (only the 4th time in our 105 years), and as of today we're welcoming Spruce Farm & Fish to the property. Earlier this year we welcomed License No. 1 as well as the recently reimagined The Corner Bar. If you haven't been in lately to see all these changes, now is the time!
Since 1909, the Hotel Boulderado has been a familiar sight in the downtown Boulder skyline. We offer old world charm, new world service, and timeless elegance and invite you to be a part of our history.
