Yesterday my husband and I bought a 2015 CRV. From Honda of Ocala. We have bought several cars over the years but I have never experienced the kind of quality salesperson and service before. I highly recommend Corey Britton who is the most caring, honest, professional, world class salesperson I have ever met. If you are considering purchasing a Honda, then Corey Britton is the guy to see and Honda of Ocala is the place to go.

Bought my 2015 Accord Sport in April and had the best experience. My first new car in many years, So it was a very special time for me. I was made to feel like a Millionaire! Thank you Honda of Ocala. My Sales man Chris Dehn was incredible and made sure the car was perfect too. I will spread the word to do business with this Organization.

By far, Honda of Ocala provided me the worst automobile buying experience in 20 years. I never prior visited this city and have no future ambition of ever returning, especially to purchase an auto from this company. As a Finance professional who works for a Fortune 100 bank, I’ve never been so disrespected and disconcerted with an auto dealership buying and selling practice then what was presented by Honda of Ocala Sales and Management team on Monday, 7-20-15. While the allure of purchasing another VW Jetta, as a new model upgrade for my collegiate daughter seemed realistic, the only thing evident was an old maxim, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is”. Of course, Salesperson attempted the antiquated tactic of trying to emotionally attach me to the auto prior to discussing any numerical figures. As an experienced buyer who always performs due diligence prior to making any major purchases, I promptly diverted this approach by explaining this auto was strictly for my daughter and would purchase only if both new and trade-in price was reasonable. I apologize for the transitory overview, but would be remised if I didn’t share it. So, here is when my pursuit of morality drives down the road to perdition. The Salesperson (no name disclosed for indemnity) and because he also conveyed the appraisal value was prepared by Management. But, I was presented with a trade-in offer half the value of all 3 of the major auto appraisal service companies. So when I promptly asked the Finance representative which source(s) was utilized, he became elusive and referenced the primary guidelines (i.e., NADA, Edmonds, and Kelley Blue Book), but eventually admitted neither was utilized once I presented my sources. While I’ll admit my daughter’s VW Jetta has highway miles, but it’s garage stored, good condition both interior and exterior and with less than the 15k national average miles per year for age. It also has a Clean Carfax, VW dealer service only maintenance history and equipped with numerous touring and convenience package/options: 2.5L I5 cylinder engine with automatic transmission, leather seats, AM/FM Sirius satellite radio with premium 6-disc CD player 8 speaker system, anti-theft system security, 16 inch alloy wheels, upgraded quality interior/exterior and rear spoiler. And, their 2014 VW had none of these features. Beyond the low mileage, it was your basic model with cloth seats, economy plastic interior appearance with hubcaps. Since my objective was to purchase a newer model with low miles and warranty, I counter offered with cash and asked Management to provide a reasonable offer that considered the true market value based on reputable sources, not some suggested auto wholesale auction price that was never substantiated by either visual or written observation. Again, the Finance representative returned with their counter offer, but incongruously increased the price by $1,500 (still another $2,500 less than validated trade-in value sources). So, I expressed that I have paid more for suits and shoes and politely declined this offer. And, I accepted the notion that my quest to obtain a reasonable offer was unachievable with this company. Essentially, this dealer wanted me to donate my daughter’s auto to them for half the true market value and pay the full Internet asking price (later explained as a sales ploy to attract potential buyers from surrounding areas) for their auto. While I understand this process is completely negotiable, the thought of potentially being hoodwinked into an unscrupulous automobile transaction was not only devastating, but insulting especially for an all cash purchase which is my preferred modus operandi regardless of auto type economy, SUV, luxury or sports car in which I currently possess. In the words of P.T. Barnum, “There’s a sucker born every minute”. So for any future Honda of Ocala buyer(s), please do your research and “Caveat Emptor” = Buyer Beware and don’t expect integrity, but demand it!

I had an issue with my power door lock actuators and the service team at Honda took excellent care of me. Fixed the issue while I waited and Scott Westerkon personally saw to it that my CRV was fixed properly. Great Job!!

My husband and I had a great experience with buying our first Honda. Our Salesman, Joe Olds has a great personality and is very helpful. He took the time to give us a tour around Honda and show us the different types of vehicles Honda has to offer. After explaining to Joe that I was in a bad car accident, that totaled my car, he was very understanding and patient making sure we were happy with our new vehicle. We were very pleased with the atmosphere and the staff at Honda. Definitely made our experience buying a new vehicle a pleasant one, especially under the circumstances. Also, the service department staff and service manager are very friendly. Joe Olds and all the staff at Honda have made buying our first Honda a GREAT experience. Thank You so much, we look forward to doing business with you in the future and will recommend you to our friends and family. Sincerely, Tucker Family

First, let me start by saying that I LOVE Hondas. It's the only car I'll ever drive. I actually purchased my Accord from another dealership, but decided to have the oil changed at Honda of Ocala. That ended up being a HUGE mistake. When I first got there, no one helped me or acknowledged my presence. I was courteous enough to make an appointment and yet I had to wait to get help. Now, the guy who did end up helping me in the service department (forgot his name) was very friendly. After they took my car back, I made me way over to the customer lounge to wait. I had my 8 year old with me so she played in the kid's room. A young girl working there started rambling on to me about some honda program nonsense. I went along with it because I work in sales and I know what it's like to have managers on you about getting people to sign up for stuff. So I told this girl that I wasn't interested. She ended up going to a sales person and told the guy I was interested in "upgrading my car" to a new one. I kept telling this guy that I wasn't getting a new car and that I just wanted my oil changed. So far, one hour had gone by. I asked if my car was done. It wasn't. The dude kept going on and on about how I should get a new car and he could help me and get me the same payments. He must've thought I was dumb because he wanted me to trade in my 6 cylinder, leather, sunroof, nav system for a 4 cylinder, cloth, no sunroof, etc. When I asked him why I should do that he said because he could save me money on gas...hahaha. Yea ok buddy. Now, 2 hours had gone by. They said my car STILL wasn't done. My 8 year old was getting restless and we had somewhere to be at 4pm. It was now 3pm. I kept mentioning how I was in a hurry and they didn't care. All they wanted to do was get me to buy a new car. I even overheard another salesman harassing an older gentleman to purchase a new car that he was having fixed. He said he would have to talk to his wife about it and the salesman said, give me your phone. I'll call her and convince her! I was appalled at the way they were doing business. So then the guy who was trying to get me to buy a new car took off to find a car that he thought I would buy and I took up the opportunity to sneak out of his office. I went over to the service department and asked the guy if my car was done. And he said, "Yes ma'am. It's been ready for 45 minutes. The care salesman said you were buying a new car." WHAT? I was never buying a new car. I just wanted my oil changed!! I took almost 3 HOURS and it cost the same as the 10 minute valvoline place up the road. I paid and got the heck out of there before the crazy salesman could find me. To make matters worse, I noticed that they didn't even put air in my tires. I thought that was standard. It's been almost a year since I had my oil changed there and Honda of Ocala still harasses me constantly to buy a car from them. They bug me through email, phone and the post. It's getting ridiculous. If I ever want to buy a Honda in the future, it will not be from Honda of Ocala!

After a failed attempt to purchase from another local dealership, I decided to give the guys down at Honda of Ocala a try. I now question why I did not go to them in the first place. Cory Britton and Randy Marker made this the easiest car buying experience to date! From the test drive to the financials, they had me covered at every angle. This was my first brand new car and they made it happen. Even with less than perfect credit they were able to get me into the EXACT car that I fell in love with. I will never buy from another dealer again. Even after all was said and done, they are still 'wowing' me every time that I go in from Kristen in service to Johnny in the sales department. These guys truly are the best of the best!
