An interesting read!

Why are barns red? Why are shutters green and porch ceilings blue? The answers may surprise you. http://bit.ly/bleckblog
In the old days, many barns were painted red because it was cheap, readily available, protective and decorative.

The park is just amazing. The rides are awesome, the workers are insanely nice, the bathrooms are clean and well kept, and the food is great. The Voyage is my favorite and will always be, the ride is thrilling and I love the new one (thunderbird) the ride is smooth and incredibly fun for anyone who doesn't like drops, but still likes a thrill. Amazing. Plus, there's free drinks everywhere. I have been here 4 times and the rides still amaze me.

Last weekend I visited this park with my friend Jeff (a southern Indiana native) and his nephews. I couldn't be any more surpised how wonderful it is for adults and kids. The roller coasters were fantastic (Six Flags quality) and the water park was unbelievable! It's an affordable amusement park for families and a great alternative to the crowds in larger spaces. I will definitely recommend Holiday World to my personal training clients in Chicago!

I've been to many amusement parks. Holiday World is definitely the best value for a family; it's also very clean, very friendly, and one of the best water parks anywhere. Free parking, free drinks are a very nice touch. They aren't trying to nickel and dime you like other parks do. The only area they are behind in is the quantity of big thrill rides - Voyage and Legend are AWESOME and Thunderbird is a FANTASTIC addition, but continuing to develop this variety of coasters should be the next step for this great park.

Day 1: Great Weather, Awesome rides, FREE SODA/WATER AND SUNSCREEN! Loved the station for Thunderbird and the ride. Everyone LOVED it! Mammoth was AMAZING, i thought it would never end! Day 2: Rode The Raven, Legend, and The Voyage, all were awesome. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE

Saturday was my family's first time there. What a great place. We took a 5 year old and 3 year old and there was still tons of stuff for them to ride, and do in the water park, which was surprising to me. I love that you can go out and eat your own lunch and go back in. The wait times for the kid friendly rides were not long. We will definitely go back, this time without kids (or me being pregnant) to enjoy the adult rides!

Today was my first trip to Holiday World, and I will definitely be back. The rides are awesome, and the lines moved quickly. I was also impressed that the staff was so friendly and upbeat. It may not be the fanciest place, but we could easily have spent more than one day visiting all of the attractions at both the water park and the amusement park.Free sunscreen and free drinks make the ticket price an excellent value. If you can book ahead, like we did, you can save even more money. Don't let the holiday theme turn you off -- it's a great place for all ages.

Finally, an amusement park with great coasters that is not obsessed with mega-corporation money mentality. Food here is better quality and better value than other parks. The coasters are awesome one-of-kind journeys. Employees are pretty friendly. Free drinks, sunscreen, and parking, which is unusually generous for amusement parks. My only complaint is that they are hesitant to run multiple trains on their coasters sometimes. It makes the lines unnecessarily long.

A family owned fun land for the entire family! I've grown up taking summer trips to this park, and many of my best memories are with family and friends and the shared thrills that this park has to offer. It is incredibly clean, incredibly safe, and very child friendly. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been to at least check it out once in your life; it's an experience that you will never forget.
