Passing on a message from Luke Plonsky, colleague and applied linguist extraordinaire:

I'm writing to invite you to participate in a study being conducted by a team of researchers at Georgetown University. The goal of the study is to better understand the culture and identity of journals that publish L2 research. Toward that end, we're collecting data related to (a) different journal features and publication patterns, (b) researchers' perceptions of different journals, and (c) the relationships between (a) and (b).

The data for (b) are being collected using a very brief survey, which we invite you to complete. The link to the survey can be found here:

Thanks for considering this invitation and for your help with the study. Please feel free to forward this message to any colleagues (faculty or doctoral students in applied linguistics) who might be interested in participating. Finally, don’t hesitate to get in touch if any questions or comments come up.

All the best,

Luke Plonsky
