Your Neighborhood Food Market and Pharmacy
Introduction
Grocery Store + Food Market + Supermarket + Customer Service + Pharmacy + Fresh Food + Fresh Produce

Harris Teeter, Inc. (Harris Teeter), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harris Teeter Supermarkets, Inc., was co-founded in 1960 by North Carolina grocers W.T. Harris and Willis Teeter. Harris Teeter now operates over 200 stores in eight states and the District of Columbia and is traded under Harris Teeter Supermarkets, Inc. on the New York Stock Exchange. In addition to its retail stores, Harris Teeter also owns grocery, frozen food, and perishable distribution centers in Greensboro, NC and Indian Trail, NC, as well as a dairy in High Point, NC. Harris Teeter is headquartered in Matthews, NC and has approximately 25,000 associates.

The dedication to our shoppers dates back to 1960 when our company was formed through the merger of two regional grocery stores committed to customer service. Over 50 years and over a hundred of store openings later, customer service remains our number one priority.

We believe the grocery store is the heart of the community, a place where people say “Hi” when you walk in, remember your favorite cut of USDA Choice Reserve Angus Beef, and help you make sure your children and your groceries all make it to your car safely. We want you to feel comfortable in our promise of great customer service and wide variety of top-quality products at a fair price. And do not forget – if there is something you want to tell us, please do. We value your voice!
