Have you considered canine rehab therapy for your dog that is suffering from a degenerative condition?  Even dogs using wheelchairs can benefit from rehab.  #walkinwheels   #dogwheelchair   #handicappedpets
The benefits of canine rehabilitative therapy most often conjure up images of dogs that have suffered a paralyzing injury and are working towards walking on their own again. Less often, do dog owners consider rehabilitative therapy for their canine companions that are diagnosed with degenerative conditions such as arthritis, hip dysplasia or degenerative myelopathy. Since …

"My message here is this — if a gold standard procedure is not accessible or affordable to you, don’t let that make you feel inferior if you have to choose a lesser option to save your pet’s life." - Dr. Richardson ‪#‎walkinwheels‬ ‪#‎handicappedpets‬ ‪#‎droptheg‬
When dog spinal surgery is needed, Gold Standards, such as MRI, are not always necessary, and alternatives do exist when finances are a concern.

Such a privilege being able to assist Keebler - a paralyzed stray dachshund being assisted by our local humane society. #handicapppedpets   #walkinwheels   #droptheg
Keebler, an 8-year-old daschund, loves ear scratches and treats, but now what sets him apart, is the way he gets around.

We were thrilled to receive this update from our friend Anand in India who wrote to tell us about his rescue dog Remy Martin. Anand recently celebrated the third anniversary of Remy’s rescue from the streets where many homeless dogs roam and are often paralyzed in car accidents. Sadly, Remy was hit by a vehicle …

I have a very badly arthritic dog that cannot walk any long distances. My husband ordered the walkin' wheels hoping it would assist her. My husband saw that they advertised a 14 day trial period and figured it was worth the try. The unit comes boxed in many parts and was incredibly difficult to put together. Unfortunately, she would not move in the wheelchair. When we finally were able to get her to move...she fell over in the uneven areas where we walk. If putting it together was difficult...reboxing it was just as bad. They did advertise a 14 day trial, but the fine print states they could charge up to a 35% restocking fee (which came out to be $139.00)
