Summer 2015-- I'm not at all impressed with the Omni. Previous guests say it used to be a great place before ownership changed. THE SPA IS AMAZING. JUST GO BY A DAY PASS TO THE SPA. Don't stay in the hotel. The shower was clogged. Instead of switching us to a different room (they could have...it was non-crowded summer week), we waited about 20-30 minutes for the plumber....Delaying dinner reservations. "Sorry for your problems," says the plumber and he handed us chocolates....after working on plumbing....? Dinner was terrible. It took 2 hours. not a big deal....except, my steak came out cold/room temperature. Our plates were always stacked on our table....Water was never refilled. Waiter rarely checked on us. We didn't sleep well because of the temperature. Not sure if the thermostat was working correctly? We messaged the manager after our trip....the response was basically, "I'm sorry you didn't like our hotel...please try us again in the future." No compensation for our troubles? And I'm sorry, but I won't be staying there again on my dime. In the future, we will stay elsewhere, and simply get a day pass to the spa.

Horrible customer service!!!! Would not recommend. Grove park inn has completely lost its beauty. When Omni took over, grove park inn went downhill quick. And customer service at the corporate offices of Omni is worse than at the grove park inn. Don't waste your time or your money.

Way over priced and commercialized. Not romantic at all. The spa is expensive but maybe worth it given that you get access for the day. The rest of the staff though is very inaccomodatong and rude. For what we were paying a day in fees and room charges I expected much more. We were enjoying pizza fireside with some champagne at around 1 am. We were approached by the manager who told us we couldn't have the champagne in the lobby at that hour. Ok fine, but why did your room service just bring it to us then? Still, no problem, we handed over our glasses and requested some water. The manager continued to stand there and go on and on about why we couldn't have it even after the problem was solved. Then two cops who seemed to just be bored came over and threatened to take everyone to jail if we didn't go back to our rooms. I assure you we were not being loud our uncooperative. We are both professionals and mothers and simply wanted to sit in front of the fireplace. They could have just told us the lobby was closed and we would have been happy to oblige. But at 700 a night I think you should be able to enjoy a fireplace and your pizza at any hour. Finally, upon returning home I realized I had forgotten my pillow. I called the resort and they said they would call me back because they were "short staffed". Ok. Finally they called back and let me know they had found it. They said they would ship it but needed a credit card for payment! Really?! After spending almost 2k for two nights they want to charge me to send my pillow? I've stayed at 3 star hotels who not only shipped my left behind items back for free but took the initiative to call me to let me know something had been forgotten. Overall...it's just not worth it. Commercial and bad customer service. I won't be back.

Everything about our stay at the Grove Park was excellent. Our room had a fantastic view of Asheville, and the antique windows actually opened to let in the cool night air. The spa was amazing as well. With so many good places to eat and things to do on the property, it was like being on an incredibly luxurious cruise. Our car stayed parked for the entire duration of our stay.

Excellent facility and services. The room and view were incredible, and the staff was as friendly as they could possibly have been. We arrived mid snowstorm and almost an hour early for check in, but they got us in without any trouble! The only negative I might add, is they offered ev parking, all of those spaces were taken by non-ev cars and there was no plug present even if one of the spaces was available. Another garage on the opposite side of the building did offer plugs and they got us settled there easily, however.

Hands down one of the most beautiful and remarkable places to stay in the world. Rooms were amazing. Service was second to none. Excellent management. It's on my list of places to return.

We use to love this place. And still would if they didn't dollar you to death. We've been coming for years and prices keep increasing substantially. Now you must pay for parking. We use to park ourselves for free. Now we park ourselves for $15. After spending $500 on a closet sized room, I think parking should be free. Spa prices are higher. $340 for two massages and then another $65 in mandatory gratuity. My wife's therapist was 15 minutes late to start but didn't add any time to the million dollar 50 minute massage which turned into a 35 minute massage. Nice rooms use to be $200. Spa passes for $50. Now no less than $500 for the worst room and over $100 for spa passes. And beware of resort fees. They'll make you sick to your stomach after everything you've already spent. It use to be a great experience but we are done with our annual trip to Grove Park Inn. It just doesn't have the same feeling anymore. It's just a rip off. We would come back in the future if they stopped if they stopped being so ridiculous.
