Filipinos who continuously bear the brunt of catastrophic climate impacts have found a strong advocate in Pope Francis especially since his encyclical amplifies the global call for climate action as a moral imperative.

It is high time that the world's biggest carbon polluters be held to account for the damage they have caused and will continue to cause– #ClimateJustice  now! >> http://grnpc.org/IgDuS <<

"It is now more important than ever before that we stand united as affected communities in the face of climate change, rising sea-levels and changing weather patterns." - President of Vanuatu on board the Rainbow Warrior.

Will you join him and the hundreds across the Pacific and in the Philippines to demand Climate Justice? >> http://grnpc.org/IgDuS

Anytime, anywhere!

The “Ecocapsule” which uses wind and solar power has the potential to let anyone live off the grid for up to a year.

How deep is your love for our oceans and seas?

We’re on the lookout for colourful photos and videos that celebrate the beauty and biodiversity of our oceans and seas in Southeast Asia.

You have until August 15 to send in your visual contribution to The Seatizen Project >> www.ilovemyocean.org

It's official! The UN will develop a High Seas Biodiversity Agreement!

This is a massive opportunity to improve the system that governs the 64% of the world's oceans that belong to us all.

HUGE thanks to all #OceanLovers  out there – together we can bring about the change needed to save the oceans >> http://bit.ly/1J9y6KJ

"Regardless of where you reside, making personal choices can be the most powerful thing that you can do to help get the ocean healthy enough to sustain life on our blue planet - our only home."

Most of us go about our day not thinking about the vast ocean where we get every second breath we take. Now more than ever, the old saying that “everything is connected” holds true and with more urgency. It’s getting quite clear and obvious that a lot of the things we do on land eventually affect the health of the oceans t

"The declining state of our seas does not only pose a threat to our rich culinary heritage, but also warns of potentially irreversible losses to livelihoods and economies." - Chef Myke "Tatung" Sarthou
I truly find comfort by the sea. In Cebu, we lived near the ocean, and so it was easy to swim on a whim.We could take a ten- to fifteen-minute tricycle ride from our village to the nearest beach, if no one wanted to drive us there. Even preparing a snack was easy, since there were always vendors peddling snacks at the beac

May the celebration of National Ocean Month be a reminder to every Filipino the need to take action to conserve and protect what's left of our marine resources to ensure that in years to come our children can still enjoy clean sea, teeming with life.
May is Month of the Ocean. It is a reminder that we, a people heavily reliant on the bounty of healthy seas for sustenance and income, should do our part in protecting them

It’s #WorldTunaDay !

Tuna can travel thousands of kilometres in their lifetime, but they can’t outrun the fishing boats any more, unless we can give them ocean sanctuaries where they can have time to recover their numbers ☛ http://bit.ly/sosoceans

This fragile Earth deserves a voice. It needs YOU.
Introduction
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace by:

* Catalysing an energy revolution to address the number one threat facing our planet: climate change.

* Protecting the world’s ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them.

* Creating a toxic free future with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals in today's products and manufacturing.

* Campaigning for sustainable agriculture by rejecting genetically engineered organisms, protecting biodiversity and encouraging socially responsible farming.
