Green Mountain Energy Company | The nation's longest serving renewable energy retailer
Introduction

Welcome to the official Green Mountain Energy Company Google+ Page.

At Green Mountain Energy, we offer residential and business customers more than just another choice in electricity companies. We offer customers the opportunity to make a difference for the environment by supporting cleaner, renewable energy instead of non-renewable energy from traditional sources like coal.

Mission: To use the power of consumer choice to change the way power is made.

In 1997, Green Mountain Energy was founded with the mission to change the way power is made. Over a decade later, we remain 100% committed to this mission.

Our Impact:

Since our inception, Green Mountain Energy customers have also helped avoid more than 14.8 billion pounds of carbon dioxide emissions.

That’s as much as:

• Taking over 1 million cars off the road for a year
• Over 4.3 billion households turning off their lights for a day
• Over 688 million trees would absorb in one year

Together, Green Mountain Energy's customers have also helped spur the development of over 50 new wind and solar facilities across the United States.

We are helping to change the way power is made every day. Add Green Mountain Energy to your Google+ circle for the latest information on company news, renewable energy developments, green tips, and more!
