"I want to show boys and girls that growing up in my neighborhood, you can achieve anything you want to as long as you have good people around you and stay focused on achieving your goal." #GCU #LopesRising
GCU student-athlete Damian German is a member of the GCU men's soccer program. In August, in the first game at the brand new GCU Stadium, it was only fitting that the kid that grew up 10 minutes away from Grand Canyon University would score the first goal at the new stadium. This is German's message to everyone that grows up on the west side of Phoenix.

I have nothing to say but I love it here! The staff is amazing and they reach out just to see how everything is going. They treat you like family. The application process and financial aid process is very easy they do all of the work and are very timely. The classes are user friendly online and the nursing program is flexible with your work schedule. I would recommend to everyone.

If I could give no stars I would! I had more advisors than a little bit. I thought I was in the Christian counseling program and found out too late I was not which I was told from the beginning I was and would be before signing up back in 2012 and found out by the theology department head Chris that counseling is only offered at the masters level but had I known this I would not have ever went to this school! I failed a class with 7 points! and tried to arbitrate the grade because during the time of class I had major surgery in May 2016 and I kept everyone informed and gave them medical proof and posted the minimum requirements along with giving every essay my best but arbitration denied me I demanded a telephone conference with the board and everyone told me that they didn't know of how to reach them. I demanded that I speak to the president of the school and of course again no one knew how I could get in contact with him either. They give pure run around and are very dishonest and tell lies and deceive you into going to the school and they do not ensure your success as a student they find ways to keep you back so you can have high student Loan debt and every year they increase tuition for online students. I learned absolutely nothing in this school plus I had atheist in my classes and as a professor. Just horrible and misguided information from staff who really don't help or try their best to help you in no way to answer your questions and concerns. If I could petition for the school to be shut down I would. I had more problems with the school or rather people then the law allows!

You've seen our ads on tv...you've seen them out on the streets...you might have even seen someone waving the devil horns only to find out it's not really what you thought it was...that's right, you're looking at Grand Canyon University! Like to golf? Come on by and swing on our newly renovated green course! Or, show off your kicking skills under the shade of our brand new soccer stadium! After an exhausting day studying or playing, invite your friends and family to relax in our brand new hotel located only two ghettos from campus. If it's an education you're looking for, one of our many part-time pseudo-professors will be happy to provide you with lots of quality busy work, including the latest in online mandatory participation, irrelevant essay topics, subliminal brainwashing, post-grad-level exams and a thoroughly quantitative grading system (after all, no matter how hard you work, "not everyone deserves an 'A' "). Struggling with that darn O'Chem class? No problem! We've assigned a single, burnt-out and grumpy former Pharmaceutical Chemist to write all the exams for each and every organic chemistry class we offer- that way you still won't have a chance with a different teacher! Go ahead, visit the "doctor's" office and watch him loathe and mumble because you weren't prepared for a test question ten chapters ahead in the book. Still having trouble? Of course you are! Our few and far between student tutors will be happy to Google the material they themselves forgot long-ago so you can just sit back and watch all your efforts melt away. Afterwards, when you're in need of someone to talk to, our welcoming New Age community will be there to smile and laugh in your face while we deny your God-given common sense and replace it with a globalized, inept spirit- all the while siphoning your pockets of any remaining cash you may have left! Grand Canyon University - find your purpose elsewhere.

0 stars! This place is a dump. A money hungry FOR PROFIT college. They are not Christian. All they want is your money, and will lie in anyway to get it. I suggest you go somewhere else.

Horrible school. Ran more like a business than a school. Completely misguided me and took advantage of my military benefits. Lied to me gave me the wrong information and got away with it for a few semesters until I caught on. And got absolutely no help resolving my issues. Take your money else where and go to a school that actually cares about their students. GCU is not it!

I love GCU! A little spendy at base price but their multitude of scholarships it was more than reasonable, and cheaper than any school in my home state. Counseling center, disability center, and health center are amazing! Tutoring center is good, and teachers will ask if you're doing okay if your grades are low/inconsistent and urge you to go to the tutoring. Accommodated me when I donated bone marrow and after my dad had a heart attack. Went back to my home state after I got married, and am continuing GCU online to finish up my Health Care Administration bachelor's degree.

We had our son sign up for classes under their Dean Scholarship. I did not want to as I felt because of his Asperger's he would need a lot of help as he had in high school. I was assured that he would not have any problems as the school would monitor his progress and inform us if there were any problems with him keeping up his grade point average as it was required for the scholarship. I was told that they had the best tutoring system of any school and quarantined us that if any problems or concern arose we the parents would be informed by the school. As it turns out he did have problems, went to tutoring many times but found little help, tutors were either too busy or not interested in helping him. As a result he did not maintain the grade point average required so lost his scholarship funding. The school GCU lied to us about their great tutoring program, lied to us about keeping us informed of his GPA. The school di absolutely nothing to help our son out> I told them that he will say everything is just fine so you have to look at the grades but they never did. My wife and I feel that the school GCU failed us everywhere but taking the money, they were good at doing that so I gave them one star. If they had of been honest and not told us they would take care of him while at school we would have saved the money and not sent him. Do not listen to their line about their great tutors and follow up etc. as there is none.
