"The support is still there even after you get your degree. . . They don’t just send you on your way. They’re really interested in how well you’re doing, and if you need some support or advice, academically or professionally."
You want GCU enthusiasm? Just spend a few minutes with Dr. Theodus "Theo" Luckett III, who graduated from the College of Doctoral Studies in April and estimates he has convinced about 40 other people, including his wife, to make this their university of choice. He is particularly effusive in his praise of the Doctoral Community Network, which he called “the main reason why I was able to complete the doctoral program.”

Awesome school. Counselors and teachers are easy to get a hold of. Never had a problem with financial aid department. Counselors check up on me at least once a month. I recommend all my friends to check it out if they want to do school online.

GCU is a great place to get an online education. The staff are extremely kind, supportive & helpful every step of the way. I transferred my associates in and am finishing a double major in elementary education and special education. I feel like I got a great education! It's been challenging, but manageable!

I have read other reviews and havs to say that I am a Veteran and have had nothing but good interactions with the staff. I received many calls throughout the program keeping me informed. 4 stars, but no school will ever get 5 out of me, making GCU a great place to go cor your Nursing degree.

This school, like any other, has its flaws and good sides. I was originally a student while serving overseas and loved it but had to quit due to personal and operational reasons. No drama, no flak nothing. Just a see ya when we see ya. My advisor would email me every few months to see if I was coming back and I usually didn't bother responding. I enrolled in a school where I live, was treated like crap so I dropped out and re enrolled here. So while I'm not crazy about certain things, I'm not complaining and with my busy lifestyle, this is perfect. I don't receive vet benefits but I'm still respected and I have a great set of friends and instructors. :)

Awesome school, the student services advisors are extremely helpful. Ask for Ashley Sears, she did a tremendous job. The commencement ceremony was the only bad experience I had. Occasionally I had a bad teacher, but none that couldn't be reasoned with. Graduated on time with a 3.6 GPA, I love GCU!

I loved my online experience with GCU but the reason that I didn't give 5 stars wasn't because of instructors, or workload. My advisor Cecila Jimez is absolutely wonderful. She has helped me through my process as well as my military advisor Ted Ibbara. My issue lies with financial aid in which they charged me for a class I never took but sent me a check and then told me I had to pay the school back $1800 for that class but prior to this I had a balance of $1079 that the school would've applied to my account to pay for said class. So I'm upset that I can no longer take my last three classes till I pay that 3rd party the $1800. That is my only issue plus I was going to enroll in the Masters degree program for Professional Counseling but with this major issue at hand I plan on going to another school. But all in all this is a great University for a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.

Having attended other colleges I did a ton of research before choosing GCU. I finished off my BS there having transferred credits in from another college. I then looked around and could find nothing that offered the same quality I was looking for so went to GCU for my MS. I didn't hesitate to pick GCU and rolled straight into a PhD. The instructors have been amazing (all except one, but I am sure that out of more than 4 years of any school you'll have one that isn't exactly brilliant), and my advisors have been simply astonishing. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone.
