AdWords/GWD Beta improvements are live!
Our friends in AdWords have made some improvements for the beta that we think you'll really enjoy! By way of your testing feedback, exit events are no longer required (we'll make the entire ad area clickable by default) and we now accept Google Web Fonts.

We have extended the beta so that new and existing testers can try out the new features. Thanks to all who have already participated and if you have not, sign up now and give it a try!  http://goo.gl/n7rF9K

Making mobile work for the advertising industry
The advertising industry is currently in a bit of a “chicken or the egg” situation when it comes to mobile advertising -- marketers want to know that cross-screen campaigns will work before they invest significantly, but publishers need multiscreen-friendly campaigns in order to show they work. We think technology can help move the industry beyond this cycle.

Today, the IAB published an open letter, signed by Google, 16 US publishers and six UK publishers, asking marketers to embrace mobile-compatible technologies such as HTML5. This letter is part of a larger “Make Mobile Work” Initiative, which will include additional resources over the course of the year to help kick-start the movement to successful cross-screen campaigns.

We do support Windows 8, so you should be able to download. Can you let us know what happens when you try? Also we've found that when users updated their graphics card driver, they were then able to run GWD.

Feel free to head over to our forum to provide detail on your installation issue: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/gwdbeta

thx!

Internet connection is required for the first initial use after download, for updates, and for help access. We have received requests for offline installers and we have this as a customer feature request.

thx!

Wanted: Testers! Need to upload GWD ads to Adwords? Inquire within!

Our friends in AdWords are testing the ability to upload GWD ads directly into their system. We're kicking off a beta program with them and looking for interested users to test the functionality. Interested?

Fill out the Beta Tester form: http://goo.gl/n7rF9K

Please read the information on the form carefully, as there are restrictions to the types of ads accepted in the Beta.

Making Creative More Intelligent
Even if you reach the right audience, if you don't tell the viewer something they want to hear, you've lost the opportunity to connect.

Today's Think Insights article, “Technology Makes Creative More Intelligent,” provides a summary of how to make ads engaging and relevant across screens, and explains how this creative imperative fits into Google’s broader, ongoing series on the "what,” "why" and "how" of modern brand building -- the Engagement Project

Using Code View in Google Web Designer
In this video, #GWD developer Nivesh Rajbhandari introduces Code View, which takes advantage of some cool CodeMirror 2.0 functionality such as syntax highlighting and code auto-completion. We'll also review how to make some simple edits in code view to pause and play an animation created in Design View.

Looks awesome!

+Google Web Designer will there be other tools for webdesigners made by Google? ( Example: Fireworks / Photoshop / Illustrator or Dreamweaver alternatives )?

This would be so awesome because we won't be bound to Adobe that much.
