Bringing your Google+ photos to all Chromebooks

Keeping hundreds or thousands of photos backed up and organized can be a challenge. We wanted to make that process a little easier, so earlier this summer we released the Google+ Photos app for Chromebook Pixel.

Today we’re making the app available in the Chrome Web Store for all Chromebooks, in 52 languages. Here’s a quick recap:

1) When you plug an SD card into your Chromebook, the app will automatically get to work and back up your new photos to Google+ (for your eyes only, of course).

2) When you’re offline, you can still view your most recent photos.

3) Your top shots will be highlighted as you back them up, making it easier to organize and share your favorites.

4) Easily share individual photos, sets of photos, or an entire album right from the app. Simply select the images you want, then click 'Share.'

5) Auto Enhance makes improvements to each photo you add, making your pictures look great. And Auto Awesome creates fun new versions of your photos like short animations and photobooth-style collages.

Install it on your Chromebook now:

I get an error saying I have to switch accounts to install it.  I'm logged into the correct account. I have a Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook. :(
that's really cool!  now do you have a way to get my photos off my facebook and put them on my laptop?  :)
This has been running on my Acer C7 for months. Not sure how or who etc.
doesn't work on a cr-48. When they said all, I didn't see that they meant only some. Hemmmm.
Unfortunately, Google+ Photos is still undiscoverable through the search function of the Chrome Web Store. This is an absurd situation for the world's leading search company.
I have a question, is it better to upload pictures to Google Drive or to Google+ Photos? What are the pros and cons for each service, since they seem to use different storage locations (Google Drive, Picasa). Look fwd to your answer. Thanks!
Try this:

It may take more than one try. Keep in mind that photos uploaded to Google+
that are 2048 px per side (or less) are not counted against your storage

This app cannot be locted in Chrome Webstore using serach. Why??
It's a long-standing bug in the Chrome Web Store. There are many others,
including some Google products, that cannot be found through search — quite
ironic for the developers of the world's leading search engine.
