No, this post is not an ode to the classic IBM logo, but something much more exciting!

The image below is a screenshot from my new hobbie project, a CHIP-8 emulator.

I started to work on it during the weekend. It doesn't do much yet, but it's already able to execute one of the well-known CHIP-8 ROMs: a program that simply produces the classic IBM logo. The screenshot below is for realz, it was really generated by my emulator.

This is my first emulator, but I'm really trying to make something decent. It already has a simple CPU tracer and screenshot-based unit tests.

Next milestone: run ZERO, another demo program.

Goal for next weekend: make a Youtube video of me and +Carla Bosco playing PONG with it :-).
