Tonight I'm the poetry feature at Bull Feeney's. Tomorrow I'm the feature at the Cantab. You should come to one or both.

First author spotlight for The Misanthropy. Dave Harris is awesome. A poet and a playwright and an activist. He's got two poems in our most recent issue. Start with our opening poem: "And the Dog Say to the Cat".

AriDy Nox describes herself as an afrofuturist griot. I wish I was cool enough for that title. Read her poem!

Introduction
Marshall "Gripp" Gillson is a nerd by day and a poet/rapper by day also. He was born in Providence, RI and holds both a BS and an MS in Computer Science. He has been an active slam poet since 2008, representing four different venues in three different states in national competition. As the 2014 Providence Grand Slam champion, he placed 15th in the 2014 Individual World Poetry Slam. He is also the founder and editor of the independent literary magazine "The Misanthropy" and boasts recent publications in "Maps for Teeth", "Three Line Poetry", and the depression-themed anthology "Light as a Feather".

As a rapper, he has released five independent LPs, two mixtapes, several compilation albums, and a number of mythical creatures from captivity. In 2011, he officially founded glassEyeballs, an independent record label and publishing company. His fifth solo album, "Ansible", was released on January 21, 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys arguing, pontificating, and writing biographies in the third person.
