This robotic arm created by scientists and engineers at Georgia Tech could take music to a whole new level. It listens to what the drummer is playing and figures out how to jam along with them. #WeCanDoThat -- http://c.gatech.edu/1oL3dEp

In one of the most groundbreaking scientific discoveries of our generation, Georgia Tech professors and students have helped in the first-ever observation of gravitational waves. It comes 100 years after Albert Einstein predicted it in his theory of relativity. Yellow Jackets have been studying the data from a wave created when two black holes collided approximately a billion and a half years ago, sending a ripple hurtling through space at the speed of light. -- http://c.gatech.edu/1V6hvJT

Georgia Tech researchers continue to study the unseen impacts of the worst oil spill in American history, The Deepwater Horizon Explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that happened 6 years ago.

"The public may be lulled into assuming that all is fixed and well. In fact, many questions remain unanswered," says Georgia Tech biologist Joel Kostka. -- http://c.gatech.edu/23x3Vap #DeepwaterHorizon #OilSpill #science #research

In emergencies, we are too trusting of robots, according to Georgia Tech researchers. In a mock building fire, test subjects followed instructions from an “Emergency Guide Robot” even after the machine had proven to be unreliable – and even after some participants were told that robot had broken down. -- http://c.gatech.edu/1L6ao4j #science #robots #research

I love to hear about research like this. Earlier in my biotechnology class, we discussed a cancer treatment process where you sneak medicine into the cancer cell "Trojan horse style." The research you all are doing (and one day I hope to be doing) is phenomenal, and I can't wait to see where we go from here :)
