Happy #GroundhogDay, Eagles! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, which legend says means six more weeks of winter. What do experts say?

"Groundhogs are extraordinary animals​, yet their ability to predict the weather has not been scientifically validated,” said Jeff Underwood, Ph.D.,
​weather expert and ​chair of the department of Geology at Georgia Southern. “That said, there are occasions when a groundhog may very well accurately predict the length of winter​. ​I predict that the ​North American winter is going to continue to be quite active.”
