We followed biology and geosciences professors and their students out into the field to see how their research has been affected by the Animas River mine waste spill. Their long-term monitoring project is giving them insight into the effects of the spill in the floodplain.
FLC Professors Cynthia Dott and Gary Gianniny lead students into the Animas River watershed to survey groundwater levels in the aftermath of the Gold King Mine spill.
