Fruit is a staple in my home, not just for me but for the kids as well. I can't tell you how many times they ask for watermelon and apples for dessert.

This is one myth that won't go away, even after the author that popularized the idea retracted her original recommendations about it.
How did this “incomplete protein” myth become so widespread? Here I debunk the myth of complementary protein.

I remember actually learning this myth from  a nutritionist just a few short years ago. Makes you wonder what other myths we accept as truth.

Why do we love dogs and eat cows? Inquiring minds want to know.

Great article by Melanie Joy.
Carnism is the belief system, or ideology, that conditions us to eat certain animals. It is the opposite of veganism. Melanie Joy expains the concept.

Why the conversation about food is important:

"The latest statistics (2015) from the American Cancer Society show little improvement in survival rates over the past 40 years for cancer patients; regardless of the good intentions of their practitioners, aggressively attacking their tumors with surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy."
What the latest research and science says about the link between diet and cancer and how important healthy nutrition is in treating cancer.

Dr. Lawenda struggled with his weight for his entire adult life, and was taught very little about nutrition in medical school.

This is very common: Polling shows that most graduating students rate their own nutrition preparation as inadequate.
I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I’m 6'2" and weighed up to 255 lbs., which made me obese. How I lost 75 pounds without portion control.

We recently enjoyed Alphonso mangoes and jamun berries while in Mumbai, India. The mangoes of India may be the world’s best!

Prevent and reverse disease with a whole-food, plant-based diet.
Introduction
The feature film Forks Over Knives examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.
