Work on the new East Stand at Sixfields Stadium at Northampton Town FC is to resume shortly after a contractual dispute saw work suspended on it in October last year. If I understand the statement correctly then the initial planned capacity has been reduced from 2,000 to around 500 seats. The new stand should be completed early next season. http://www.northampton-news-hp.co.uk/Northampton-Town-Work-resume-East-Stand-Sixfields/story-26230886-detail/story.html

I see that Wycombe Wanderers FC are providing free WiFi access throughout the stadium, for fans to use. I wish more Clubs would do this. Do you know of any other Clubs who currently offer free WiFi?

The Football League Clubs have voted against the use of artificial pitches. However they will be allowed in the Conference Leagues from the start of next season.

I remember going to the likes of QPR and Preston in the late 1980's and the artificial surface was truly awful, the bounce of the ball was too high and the way the ball interacted with the surface was unnatural. However, going to a Non-League game last year on a 3G pitch, I was very impressed with the natural flow of the game and the way the ball moved around. So I have changed my opinion on Non-league clubs adopting one instead of grass.

I really like these model stadiums made from Lego. I think I'll have to start saving up for one! http://www.brickstand.co.uk/products/stadiums

Queens Park Rangers put the case forward for a new stadium, with a new promotional video. It is proposed that the stadium will be built as part of a wider regeneration of Old Oak Common. What do you think?

So Luton Town's Kenilworth Road ground is to be renamed the “Prostate Cancer UK Stadium”. Okay it is only for one game and it is for a good cause, but is all this renaming business getting out of hand?

The proposed new Tottenham Hotspur FC stadium has moved a big step closer with the news that the local company objecting to its construction, are not to pursue their legal objections any further. It could now be ready for the 2018/19 season.

The Football Ground Guide has been redesigned, giving it a more modern look. Not only does it show the stadiums off more, with often more and bigger stadium photos, but it is now easier to use on a mobile phone. I hope you like it! www.footballgroundguide.com

Scunthorpe United FC have submitted plans for approval to build a new 12,000 capacity stadium. The site of the new stadium is just a couple of miles away from Glanford Park further along the M181 (towards the M180). If planning permission is granted, then Scunthorpe may be playing at their new home sometime next year.
