Harbour Heights hosts Lunch for Hungry Walkers

On Thursday 26th April 2012 the HarBar Bistro at the Harbour Heights hosted a ploughman’s lunch for the team at Diverse Abilities Plus.

The Diverse Abilities Plus team entered into the spirit of the Olympics by taking part in the national Olympic legacy initiative called the 2012 Challenge. Between the team, they committed to walking 201.2km in one day - from Swanage to Hengistbury Head, in Dorset. That’s a total of 16 miles for each person!

The Diverse Abilities Plus gang: Mark Powell (CEO), Paul Barnard (Retired CEO), Charlotte Curtis (Head of Business Resources), Mark Freer (Finance Manager), Helen Alexander (Fundraising Manager), Steph Vaughn (Trainer) and Hugh Felstead (Graduate Trainee) joined us for their well deserved break!

Mark Powell, Chief Executive says “All of the money raised will be going to Diverse Abilities Plus, a charity which we are all incredibly passionate about as it provides such vital support for hundreds of children and adults in Dorset with physical and/or learning disabilities, and their families. Our target is to raise £1000 by doing this challenge”

Good luck to Diverse Abilities Plus at achieving your goal for such a good cause from the Harbour Heights team!
