Yes. You can do it. I'm not sure how you do it on your computer, but I do it in the app under Track Exercise. Click the little stop watch in the right upper corner. Add your start/stop times and distance. Your start/stop times are just so it knows if you were wearing it. If I were to log a walk but I had been wearing it, it doesn't add it any steps. Hope this helps!

This is great. Discovered it a few days ago, and went from Runkeeper to Strava. Love it! Fitbit and Strava work so well together.

Last year, we set the record for most daily steps per person on the 3rd Saturday in May. And for 2015 we’ve got one thing in mind: Beat our best. So on May 16, we’re introducing the first-ever #FitbitGoalDay and challenging everyone in the Fitbit Community to crush their daily step goal. Are you up for the challenge? http://bit.ly/1cKAKJf

Introduction
Fitbit is dedicated to helping people lead healthier, more active lives. We take a common sense approach to fitness, and believe that the key is to make it easier for consumers to be more active, eat smarter, and get enough sleep — in short, that small changes to your daily routine can add up to big results. To that end, we aim to create innovative, inspiring products and online services that harness the power of new technologies to make people more aware of their everyday activities and motivate them to do more.
