New Zipwire Proposed for the Lake District

What do you guys think about this? Is it good that it might have the potential of drawing some people out of their homes and into a beautiful part of the world? Or, do you think it would be a detriment to the beauty that exists in the Lake District? Would love to hear your opinions.

A new zip wire has been proposed for the Lake District above Glenridding and Ullswater. With a petition raised against it, is it still set to soar? Tell us your opinion!
Lake District-based company Tree Top Trek is planning on introducing four parallel zip wires above the picturesque Glenridding and Ullswater areas, but the scheme has already raised environmental and conservation concerns. The proposed... | The UK’s leading monthly hillwalking magazine for the past 30 years

Ullswater gets 1000s of visitors a year already, so on one side its not gonna be a major shift from quite village to a busy attraction cos its already busy, an am sure the locals could do with the extra income, tourism is usually low income
The biggest problem is that its never just a zip wire, next it will be access roads an parking (disabled access to public places is now law) then may as well have a coffee shop an gift shop etc etc. So eventually most of the pretty pic above will be concrete. ..then itll go bust an be left to rot

Incredible fallstreak hole spotted over Australia

This is formed when supercooled water droplets are introduced to ice crystals and rapidly freeze and grow. A hole is left where the now frozen water droplets once were. Don't you just love nature.

Self Filling Water Bottle

What an absolutely phenomenal invention. Not only does this have great potential for bikers and hikers and the like but it may also be a superb way of acquiring fresh drinking water where the resource is scarce but has a high humidity.
