Video: Once again, a little industrial robot adds tremendous value to a dirty, dangerous job one part at a time.

In our latest robot application video, a die cast tending system from FANUC America Authorized System Integrator Durabotics features the ultra fast and compact FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot, used to unload parts from a die cast machine.

The robot does much more than that, however. Watch the full video and let us know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching!

WATCH: Major automotive manufacturers use robotic systems like this to offload massive payloads from suppliers to their assembly plants.

The system in this video includes a variant of the world's largest industrial robot model - the FANUC M-2000iA robot. FANUC's M-2000iA can handle up to 2,300 kg, making nearly any payload transfer possible.

New research into robotics is helping debunk some old myths...

From the article via +Wired UK: "Looking at data on the use of robots, and economic performance indicators across 14 industries, and 17 countries...we now know that "industrial robots increased both labour productivity and value added".

Robots are out to take our jobs. This is the tagline for the oft predicted decline of human-driven industry. But until now, there has been almost no systematic empirical evidence on their economic effects
