Won't do this again. First off the heat in the lobby and library was broken. It was 40 degrees outside with howling wind. Booked room with 2 queen beds, website stated could request upgrade, which I did, but didn't get (why doesn't software take off option if they're all taken?! Also, howcome I couldn't get one being a Hilton Honors member? I was even okay with paying for an upgrade!). Now, check this out. Room has an entire wall that opens to the bathroom. Said wall is made of sliding ribbed/frosted/striped glass. So! If you are taking a bath/shower, even if you close the doors, everyone in the room can see you through the doors anyway! If you want to get up in the morning earlier than your companions and you turn on the bathroom light, the light goes through the WHOLE WALL and shines into the room! At least the toilet was in a separate area --- uh, one with NO FAN and NO WASTEBASKET! Had to call housekeeping because the pillowcases were stained with makeup and smelled like someone else's hair gunk. Parking ran me $30!!! Then you tip the valets on top of that! CRIPE! Room was small, couldn't walk around the beds comfortably -- maybe a foot between bed and walls. Two glasses put into a room with 2 queen beds.......?! Hot water faucet was so loose I thought it would come off in my hand. Don't tell me housekeeping didn't notice that when they cleaned the [cracked] sink!!! The only positive notes on this entire stay were the down pillows and the nice woman at the front desk, Jenna. Other than that, you can have this hotel. I will never stay there again. $300+$40 tips down the tube in my opinion.

Very beautiful old fashioned looking hotel right next to The Alamo and two blocks away from the River Walk. The lobby area is beautiful and welcoming. The room I rented for my boyfriend and I was a little small, but overall we both loved the room. The bed was amazing and not just your regular hotel bed, it was so comfortable. The bathroom was a little small just like the room, but still very nice and well kept. We did not eat at the restaurant, but we had a drink at the bar. I wish there was more than one TV though. Overall, we really enjoyed staying there.

My husband and I live in Ft. Hood so when his sister came down we thought a trip to San Antonio would be nice. When we got to the hotel and I was amazed how beautiful the hotel was. After checking in we asked about parking and was told the valet was the bast option. After being informed that valet was $28 a night PLUS TAX we decided to park our car else where. After taking our luggage up to our room we went out on the RiverWalk and had a great night. We came back, showered, and crawled into bed. As I was laying in bed reading the news my husband pointed out that there was hair all over the top corner of the mattress. I then got up to look and sure enough, there was, what looked to be pubic hair, on the top of the mattress and right in the middle where I was laying. We called the front desk, someone was sent up to change our sheets and we were informed that there would be a discount on our room. Now it is a week later and we have been charged full price for the room. When we called to ask about why were charged full price they respond with "There aren't any notes on your account so there's nothing we can do at this time." Great customer service, huh? I wouldn't recommend staying here mainly because the customer service is poor and the pieces are sky high. $32 for parking and $12 for a bowl of oatmeal, no thanks! You do get free cookies when you check in though! Some advice for people that are going to stay here! There is a church parking lot about two blocks from the Emily Morgan that charges $10 a night for parking. Granted you won't have those trusty valet attendants watching over your car but you will have an extra $20 in your pocket!

The Emily Morgan hotel is a wonderful historic hotel that is still modern and comfortable. I visited for 3 nights for a business trip, and enjoyed myself. the double queen room was comfortable and spacious, the bed was okay, a but the mattress and pillows are too soft for my tastes. Rooms are clean, but could use a bit more dusting. Service was fantastic, the staff was genuine and always greeted me by name. I did have a minor problem with my bathtub, the stopper would not seal for a bath, I notified the front desk, went out for breakfast and it was fixed when I got back (less then 90 mins!) the restaurant, Oro was expensive for the amount of food you get, but this is to be expected with hotel restaurants, and to food is good. Valet service is fantastic. Work pays for my parking so I wasn't too concerned with the price, but it seemed typical for the area. the valets are courteous, open doors for you and always address you as Mr/Ms, and are very fast. If come to San Antonio again in the future, I will definitely stay here.

Very nice king room with jet tub. Only down side was that we had to call for help to fix the tub. Other than that clean spacious and great staff and room service. Beautiful hotel

Very nice hotel and the staff is very courteous. There was an extra 30 minute wait for check-in even though we arrived at 3:30 PM. They also ran out of cots even though we requested one in our reservation.

Great hotel, HORRIBLE valet service. Valet "accidentally" gave our keys to a drunk guy pretending to be the owner, which now has our stolen truck. We have stayed here before and loved the hotel and staff but we should of known by the way the valet was eyeballing the truck something would happen. Night valet admitted to giving the keys to the alcohol smelling man who gave him a temporary valet ticket without asking for an ID. Do NOT TRUST their valet unless you want your personal belongings being giving to others!!!!!!
