This has to be one of my favorite place of all. The animals are all well cared for and unlike Philly zoo, you can actually see the animals. My daughter loves all the exhibits and really loves the playground. It's nice break in the day - she can play and I can rest. The zoo is a perfect size for a day outing and they've recently upgraded the food (for people) and previously was the only drawback. I love this place and wish I had discovered it sooner.

Great zoo, clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. Awesome goat in the petting zoo named Marcushio? He wanted to hang with me all day. Id take him home if I could. Knocked a star off because they wouldn't let me ride the giraffes. They should post a disclaimer noting you cant do that. Now i have a giraffe saddle Im trying to sell on ebay.

This is a very cute little zoo. Perfect for young children and adults alike. The staff is very friendly. The animals seem to enjoy being in the spotlight. There is a small park inside for the children, an ice cream cafe, coffee shop and mini snack stands. Despite it's size, there is plenty to do. This place is a nice local escape for the entire family to enjoy.

Beats the outdated and over priced Philly Zoo by miles. Frankly the Philly Zoo is a disgraçe.

Did the Zip Lining adventure, pretty cool, priced fairly, challenges not overly hard but challenging enough for most. Strongly suggest they add a water break of some sort along the way, three hours of exertion without a drink is not good. Other than that, highly recommended.

My preschool thoroughly enjoys this end of the year field trip for our pre-k graduates. Eric Donovan is amazing! He can't do enough for you to make sure that your day is a complete success. As a director of the preschool, knowing that the students and their parents are going to have a great time keeps us coming back year after year. The Elmwood Park Zoo is a true gem! Can't wait to see all the new things in store!
