You deserve all the praise, and I must say I'm on board of mostly all of the "criticism" Chris pointed out.

All of our thanks goes out to the 78 backers who raised the full $1,800 to send some awesome folks to Paris to work on elementary OS. Thank you so much for your support!

We have just a week left on our IndieGoGo Fundraiser and less than $600 to raise to meet our goal. Let's make this a big weekend! Small contributions add up and every penny makes a difference :)

If you're still not sold on the campaign, make sure to tune into LINUX Unplugged 159 where +Chris Fisher chatted a bit with +Lewis Goddard and +Fabian Thoma about what the event's all about: https://youtu.be/59YxR9p6lLU?t=927

Thanks again to the 48 people that have backed the campaign so far! Your hard-earned cash will help 5 of our volunteer developers in Europe meet up for 4 days to kickstart work on the next version of elementary OS.

+Jörg Arnold Ubuntu must have been slow committing the fix then as I'd swear blind I only saw it come through there in the last couple of weeks. In any case, if it's fixed in release Loki then that's one less thing I have to worry about when I get around to installing it (which is great since the move to GNOME Software-derived updaters has taken a giant dump on update handling in both eOS and Ubuntu...).

Just about $300 left to send some awesome folks to Paris to work on elementary OS. If you haven't contributed to the campaign yet, we could really use your help! Small amounts add up quick to make a big difference :)

We design & develop elementary OS, the fast & open alternative to Windows & OS X.
Introduction
elementary is a team of dedicated developers, artists, and everyday computer users who want to craft an incredible computing experience. We make elementary OS—an open source operating system and many apps—and give them to users to help bring this goal to reality.

We believe in the powerful combination of a top-notch user experience, a beautiful interface, and the freedom to do with your computer what you like.

Read about elementary on our Journal, get help with elementary OS, learn how to get involved, or check out our resources for developers.
