Google is making many companies nervous. Anything bought online that involves the collection of information naturally falls into Google's path.

Hi folks,

+Econsultancy have just released their Measurement and Analytics Report which has some pretty interesting findings.

We've seen a substantial increase in the proportion of companies who say that analytics 'definitely' drives actionable recommendations.

We've also seen a big increase in the proportion of companies that say they have more than five employees dedicated to data analysis.

I've attached a few charts and the report is here if anyone is interested:

Nice to see the 4P's being used in a relevant way, my favourite would have to be 'Polymorphous' great word and very apt for mobile :)

Michael Nutley’s report for 2013’s Top 100 Digital Agencies began with the assertion that “now, more than ever, the only generalisation that you can make about the way marketers and agencies are working together is that there are no generalisations to be made”.

I'm not surprised that 'agencies are reporting that their clients are more strategic and generally have better qualified marketers than, say, 15 years ago'. Most maketers now that it's madness to move without a strategy in place, strategic marketing is an engrained part of the way we work which is a marked change from times past, when approaches tended to be primarily tactical.
