People who make a fuss about e-readers being somehow inferior to "real" books remind me of those who have historically considered reading novels bad for one's character, especially if the reader was a young, unmarried woman. Are you taking part in the Year of Reading Woman? So far this year, I'm on my fourth book by a woman -- Anya Seton's Katherine. Based on the 14th century epic love affair of Katherine Swynford and John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, ancestors of most of the British royal family, it was published in 1954 and remains a classic historical romance. Historian Alison Weir calls it "an inspiration and the benchmark by which I judge historical novels." http://www.ebooks.com/1327773/katherine/seton-anya/
