Today is Seven Sleepers’ Day, said to predict the weather in German-speaking parts of Europe.

It's associated with a legend where 7 young people - who escaped religious persecution by hiding in a cave - slept for hundreds of years before awakening ...

Now, the legend says, if it rains on June 27, it will pour for 7 weeks.

“If Seven Sleepers is wet, it rains unceasingly.”

The day’s weather is thought to foretell conditions for the rest of the summer, similar to the way Groundhog Day is said to predict the arrival of spring in the U.S.

Stay dry out there, y'all!
