Excited is not the word! Meet our new toy our new 'my lab six' ultrasound machine! We are the first practice in Scotland and only the second in the UK to get this new generation of scanner! This replaces our previous scanner which was great but it was time for an investment in new technology! We use it mostly for diagnostic imaging and occasionally for puppy scans and it will take our diagnostics to another level!

Pets are an important part of the family, but they can come with some unwanted guests. Being aware of parasites that are lurking in the environment, and understanding the ways to keep pets protected will help prevent parasites from invading our homes.

Have you heard about our extended opening times?

Due to popular demand we have now started late night opening on Tuesdays and we also have extra Saturday appointments now available.

- We now have 2 extra Vets working until 8PM on Tuesdays and we have an extra Vet working every other Saturday allowing us to release more Saturday appointments hopefully making it easier for clients and their pet's to get to the Vets!

We had nine puppies at our puppy party tonight which was very much enjoyed by all. Our vets and nurses did a talk on healthcare, the owners got a tour of the practice and the puppies got to play. All puppies have gone home shattered!

Beware of Bob Martin! We had a kitten who came in the other day very poorly having had this product applied. We were also shocked to note that nowhere did it say it didn't cover the most important worm toxocara, a human health hazard which can cause blindness in children! It lists the species of worm it treats but doesn't tell you those it doesn't, how are the general public supposed to be able to judge how effective a wormer is based on worm species cover! If a wormer is sold that doesn't cover all worms surely it should have to make that clear? Unfortunately non prescription worm and flea products are not regulated properly, can be sold by untrained staff who can't give the advice that it's the right product and how to avoid toxicity and are generally more expensive than prescription products that have to have their safety and the fact that they work proven!
