Bootie SF is the place to be if you just want to dance and have fun. No one is pushy or rude (on purpose) and everyone is there to just have a good time. Make sure you register for the guest list and come before 10:30. Also bring cash as the only bar that takes credit card is located where DNA sells pizza. There are multiple rooms in addition to the main stage, where different music genres can be found. I have see the hip hop room, the top 40's room, the edm or cabaret room (depending on the mood). Overall just a good fun time. Also, Butter Bar across the street is a good place to stop before you head here.

One fantastic time at Bootie SF, 4 stages with various DJs playing mashups. Bars are cash only. Plus they've got a coat check.

Great Food, staff and a superb P.A. and lighting rig when the right guy is running the lights. Fates Warning sounded like a record and have not seen a better display of what can be done with the setup. Surely FW had their own LD. A lot of Rock for a little dough goes on in this venue.

DNA lounge is a small club with various artists and genres depending on the day. I went there to see a 8bitSF concert, with artists like Kozilek. (electro/chiptunes). I believe we were actually above the actual lounge in their secondary place. It's a pretty small location, with a low ceiling, but two touches I absolutely loved is that they had a water fountain right next to the bar so you could grab some water easily, and they provide earplugs on demand for free. You can also go in our out to take a break, which you usually can not do at bigger venues.

This venue is pretty grungy, but still nice. It's small, but fits a decent amount of people. We were here for the Hubba Hubba Revue performance, and it was definitely a great show. The space is well accommodated for a variety of different events, and obviously has a well stocked bar ;)

Bootie SF here on Saturday nights is THE BUSINESS. If you're a fan of dancing, mash up music, and drag shows, this is the place to get all three on the weekend. There's several different rooms with distinctly different music and the crowd there is fun and not very creepy compared to other clubs. Everyone's there to have fun and there's a large number of bars around the club to order drinks from. Cover is $15 (or $10 before 10 PM), but well worth it for the experience. The line can get pretty long and the dance floor super can get really crowded, so get here early for the best experience.

Oh DNA Lounge. I always seem to find myself here on Friday and Saturday nights. This place hosts a variety of events, my favorite being Bootie SF. This past Friday however was Beyonce Tribute Night put on by the lovely drag queens at Trannyshack. It was an absolutely fantastic time. My only issue with this place is the prices of their awful cocktails. Average mix drink is $9-11 and they are TINY. I almost thought I was back in West Hollywood for how much they were charging. The alcohol to mixer ratio was awful as well. I basically paid $9 for soda water. Honestly though I shouldn't be surprised considering everything in San Francisco is ridiculously expensive. Other than that, the events put on here at DNA Lounge are typically fun times. Note: - Most events have cover charges. - Casual attire, you can wear pretty much anything.
