I took a Renaissance cooking class in Firenze when I lived there and made a similar dish with balsamic vinegar, but this looks very appetizing!  I too enjoy the cold weather forcing me indoors to cook.

Introduction
Moved to Italy from Californa in 1984. Began my teaching cooking in 1988 and started Divina Cucina to share the secrets of Tuscan cooking.

Divina Cucina online began in 1997 and then I also began the blog Over a Tuscan Stove to share more about daily life.

I have recently self-published my first cookbook on Tuscan recipes and Chianti: Food and Wine app.  Eat, Drink, Shop and Sleep in Chianti. Working on a new cookbook with my Sicilian recipes.
