This iPhone 6S+ had the screen replaced within an hour in our Dundee store. No booking an appointment in advance, travelling to Aberdeen, Glasgow or Edinburgh to be told "Sorry we can't replace your screen because the frame has a chip in it, but we can swap the handset for £306.44". All repairs are carried out in store, usually within a couple of hours and all your data is safe on the device.

Apple class this iPhone 4G as "Vintage". Luckily we still keep parts in stock for this device (we've even got some 3G and 3GS parts). This customer had their 6S in for repair and asked us to pop a new back on their 4G at the same time.

This iPhone 6S was treated to a new screen in our St Andrews store. We're only offering original screens for this repair and we don't recommend using a copy screen on this device. Apple changed the way the touch works on the 6S. The chip that controls the touch is manufactured on the LCD rather than on the motherboard. Due to this we only recommend fitting an original screen.

An iPhone 6S+ in to get the screen replaced. We can't beat Apple's price on this repair but we offer same day service, don't charge extra if the frame is slightly damaged and you will get the phone back with all your data intact. We are only using original screens on this repair so the screen is the exact same quality you would get fitted by Apple.

We've been getting a lot of people coming to us with various charging issues on their iPhone. Usually the phone will cut off at random levels of charge or they feel the battery isn't lasting a long. On the outside this sounds like a battery fault and usually the customer will simply ask us to replace the battery.

The battery is not always the problem and rather than fit a new battery and send the customer on their way, we prefer to diagnose the fault correctly. There is a chip on the board called the Tristar chip which controls the charging. This switches between battery power and USB power and when faulty it causes the phone to switch off, not charge the battery correctly or drain really quickly. The main reason for this chip to go is from using cheap USB cables. You should only use the official Apple cable or an MFI certified one. The cheap cables don't have the correct circuitry in them and can damage the Tristar chip.

This iPhone 6 plus was booked in to have the Tristar replaced. We did basic diagnostics on it by trying a charging dock and battery. Neither fixed the problem so we desoldered the old chip and replaced it with a new one.
