Updates for AR Pro 11 -

* As requested by a customer in Australia, I've added another metric version to the Minimum Speed formula to the Minimum Speed formula. Their formula lists out as S = Sqrt(254 x D x f) instead of the North America version of S = 15.9 x Sqrt(D x f). Now, mathematically, the Sqrt of 254 is 15.9, so the answers to both versions are virtually identical, but for court purposes I'm told they needed the formula with 254. The MS formula allows a choice between the two metric formulas when it is run while the program is in Metric mode.

* As a sister to the Minimum Speed [Slide to Stop] formula, I added the Minimum Velocity [Slide to Stop] formula to the program.

* Since it's been a long time that I've not had a FAQ page on my site (and no one has perished) I've decided to not do the page. That button has been removed from the Internet tab.

I've created and uploaded new and hopefully easier to use and understand Activation Code Request pages to the web server. And, I've pared it down to just 2 pages - one for 64-bit programs and one for 32-bit programs. I've also modified all of the old pages to automatically redirect everyone to the new pages when requesting an activation code and also changed the menu selections under "Activation" to just show the 2 new pages (along with reporting a deactivation still, of course). I've also updated (and uploaded) AR Pro 11 to the new pages and tomorrow the same will be true of Recall 11 and TSB 11.

A couple days early, but my Version 11 software is now available for download, installation, and activation. Due to a great number of things popping up this month I don't have the new formulas ready in AR Pro 11 as of yet. No worries, though. I will continue to work on them and they will be in upcoming free program updates. I hope you folks like these programs as much as I do. The programming software I used to create them was updated just 10 days ago, so they have the very, very latest and greatest ingredients. :) Enjoy!

Dirigo Software is now accepting preorders for Version 11 software. The expected shipping date for Version 11 is October 1. To place your order for your new/upgrade licenses please go here: https://www.dirigosoftware.com/shop.php

The following is a brief smattering of some of the changes I’ve made and am making to my Version 11 software. Please note that these new programs expand upon my usual very high standards of professional programs and installations, and all 3 of them stand on the shoulders of my Version 10 software (which stands on the shoulders of my Version 9 software, which stood on the shoulders of my Version 8 software, etc.):

AR Pro 11
• More speed and even better Windows 10/8.1/8 compatibility and usability.
• A prime example of this is that pressing OK buttons in message boxes in those versions of Windows are now a thing of the past. I’ve spent a ton of time changing the program over to using the Windows “Action Center” for program warning and error and information notifications instead of a message box. Users of Windows 7 will still have to press OK buttons, unfortunately, as it has no “Action Center” for notifications. That said, if/when you do upgrade your version of Windows AR Pro 11 will automatically start using the “Action Center” instead of message boxes.
• All of the external components I use to create my programs have all been updated and upgraded for more speed and better Windows 10 compatibility.
• New formulas! These include customer requested formulas such as “Impact Speed from EDR reported Delta V” and “Law of Sines and Cosines”, as well as others.
• The program looks and acts the same as AR Pro 10, which means there is no learning curve. You can jump right in and get to work.
• I’ve added the ability to cut, copy, paste, etc. into and out of the Notes section for all formulas.
• I’ve also added Technical and Legal words spell check dictionaries to the Notes section, as well as a bunch of international languages for our international friends. These new dictionaries include Italian, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Danish, Dutch, and many others.
• As part of my “Zero Hassle Upgrade Initiative”, upon starting AR Pro 11 for the first time it will check for AR Pro 10 user dictionaries, Project files, Report graphics and Report settings on the computer it’s installed on. If it finds these files from AR Pro 10 it will ask if you want to copy them into AR Pro 11. This means all of the saved Projects and formulas, user dictionaries, Report graphics and Report settings in AR Pro 10 could be made available to your AR Pro 11 in a flash with a push of a “Yes” button.
• The installation program I trust with my programs has also been updated.
• Plus a whole mountain of other updates and tidbits.

Recall 11 + TSB 11
• More speed and even better Windows 10/8.1/8 compatibility and usability.
• Pressing OK buttons on message boxes in those versions of Windows are now a thing of the past as I’ve spent a ton of time changing the program over to using the Windows “Action Center” for program warning and error and information notifications instead of a message box. Users of Windows 7 will still have to press OK buttons, unfortunately, as it has no “Action Center” for notifications. That said, if/when you do upgrade your version of Windows Recall and TSB 11 will automatically start using the “Action Center” instead of message boxes.
• All of the external components I use to create my programs have all been updated and upgraded for more speed and Windows 10 compatibility.
• The programs look and act the same as Recall and TSB 10, which means there is no learning curve. You can jump right in and get to work.
• The installation program I trust with my programs is also updated.
• As part of my “Zero Hassle Upgrade Initiative”, upon starting Recall and TSB 11 for the first time it will check for Version 10 Report graphics and Report settings on the computer it’s installed on. If it finds these files from Version 10 it will ask if you want to copy them into Recall/TSB 11. This means all of the Report graphics and Report settings in Version 10 could be made available to your Recall/TSB 11 in a few seconds with a push of a “Yes” button.
• Due to a lawsuit earlier this year against NHTSA, the amount of information given in TSB’s is going to increase, considerably. This will require me to adapt to this upcoming new amount of information in both the database creation and program display when it happens for my TSB program. Please note that this adaptation will be made available to my current TSB version customers as a free update.

As always, thanks, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me, directly.

Due to issues with my V8 software and their inability to save any report settings in Windows 10, I have ceased support for V8 software in Windows 10. The V8 software was created in 2009 in and for Windows 7, and because they will not save report settings they are not 100% compatible with Windows 10. With that, it only makes sense to limit installations and activations to the versions of Windows they will operate correctly in. They (and their updates) will no longer install in Windows 10 and I will no longer activate V8 software in Windows 10. My apologies for any inconvenience. Please note that anyone who cannot run their V8 software in Windows 10 is invited to upgrade to version 10 of my software, which was created in and for Windows 10 (but is also 100% compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1). You can find pricing info and the ability to place an upgrade order here: https://www.dirigosoftware.com/shop.php

I’m proud to be announcing the imminent release of AR Pro 9.1! The update will be released by the end of July and is a free update to all who own AR Pro 9. If you haven't yet purchased or upgraded to AR Pro 9 you may want to do so TODAY as the price for AR Pro 9.1 will be higher than AR Pro 9. Too many updates to list, but see a glimpse for yourself:  https://www.dirigosoftware.com/new.php
Thanks!

AR Pro 9 is updated!  I brought back the formula variable/constant descriptions.  Unlike AR Pro 7, these are an on and off option (instead of always on, whether you wanted them or not) and the fonts are smaller to not compete with the mathwork so much.  Have fun!!!!  :)

More awesome updates!

Paying homage to the KISS Principle (Keep It Simple Stupid, which I firmly believe in and try to adhere to at all times) I have combined the installations of both versions of AR Pro 9 into a single installation. The installation will automatically select and install the correct version of the program according to the system it's being installed onto, be it 64-bit or 32-bit. This will take the guesswork away from those folks who aren't certain which flavor of Windows they have on their computer or how to find out. With this update it will always be the correct version that gets installed.

Recall 9 and TSB 9 have also had their installations combined into one and will be uploaded to the web server tomorrow to include the weekend's database update.
