It's hot, the sun is shining, and the beer is flowing. There's nothing like having some fun in the sun - on holidays, at festivals, with friends - and Grease taught us that 'Summer lovin' happened so fast'! So what tips and stories do you have about summer romance and diabetes?

There are two points that are pretty important here: safety and protection! Most people will think of the obvious, but certain, errm, activities can cause blood sugars to drop so people with diabetes also have to think about this. Nobody wants to be doing the walk of shame whilst hypo!

As volunteers, we have diabetes too. Join us for a good chat.

Give us some feedback, we'd love to know what you think: TalktoSomeone@diabetes.org.uk.

"When I told my mum I wanted to go to Australia, her first reaction was 'but what about your diabetes?' My answer was 'what about it?' It wasn't like I could leave it at home, and I was never not going because of it! It was the best experience of my life!" Whether a festival, skydive or travelling, we are sharing our Summer Adventures and how to achieve them with diabetes. This hangout is open to anyone who lives with diabetes. Charlotte and Sara are hosting. Join us!

We need feedback... tell us how we're doing! Email TalktoSomeone@diabetes.org.uk.
