We swept the floor, and instead of throwing it away, we boxed it, just for you!

working with a new hire writing a shell script, via chat.
chat session ends:

me: scripting tip of the day: don't use quotes unless you need to
newhire: how do you know that you need to use quotes?
me: when it doesn't work w/out them
newhire: ah, of course :)

I'm 50+ and heard this for the first time last week... apparently, I'm not well read.

Aristotle’s well-known definition of truth (Metaphysics 1011b25): “To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false, while to say of what is that it is, and of what is not that it is not, is true; so that he who says of anything that it is, or that it its not, will say either what is true or what is false."

Check out "the bible project" on 8 minute videos on each (well most, some still pending) book of the Bible, in a couple hours you can understand the BIG picture of the Bible. What really hit me (from the OT) is that Israel, who were chosen to be separate and be a kingdom of priests, continuously fell into sin, and it was always the same: idol worship, sexual perversion, and child sacrifice; not unlike today's: materialism, LGBT, and abortion. Certainly, we are headed for well deserved Judgement.

How do you go from:

Our investigation looked at whether there is evidence classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on that personal system, in violation of a federal statute making it a felony to mishandle classified information either intentionally or in a grossly negligent way, or a second statute making it a misdemeanor to knowingly remove classified information from appropriate systems or storage facilities.

From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.

and then conclude:

Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.

To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now.

I Cry Bull Crap!!

ok so I get this "news" email with this story:

RIGHT off the bat I see this image of the Moon next to the Earth, and I scream "No! it's photoshopped!"

Info week claims it's a NASA photo ... hmmmm. That's what google's for. Search for the image: aha!

The Chinese are spreading this propaganda! Trying to warp our brains! ... and again trying to claim NASA took this picture.

Keep searching, you'll find the truth. Here's the picture NASA published:

Imagine that ... no Moon!
