Live, from Dartmouth—it’s Thursday night! Written, directed, cast, edited, filmed, and performed by students, Thursday Night Live (or TNL as the students dubbed it) was the cumulative project for “Film and Media Studies 36.”
Students in Peter Ciardelli’s TV production class put on their own version of Saturday Night Live.

In 1785, Dartmouth was an ambitious school with small coffers, so it asked neighboring legislatures for help. In response, the Republic of Vermont donated 23,000 acres to support the College, including the town of Wheelock, which was named after Dartmouth founder Eleazar Wheelock. In 1830, College president Nathan Lord established free tuition for qualified Wheelock students to thank the town for its support.

Noah Manning '17 is the ninth resident to benefit from this scholarship. He invited President Phil Hanlon ’77 to accompany him to Wheelock earlier this month. According to Manning, it was the first visit by a Dartmouth president in more than a century. http://bit.ly/1CDWlP7

3D scanners allowed students in Thayer School of Engineering's Integrated Design: Engineering, Architecture, and Building Technology course to examine replicated pieces, too fragile to handle, from the Hood Museum of Art's Inuit collection. The class explored the artifacts from the perspective of form and function, and design and material.
