If your company uses Google Apps for business, be on the lookout for some rebranding. The new name is G Suite. As of now, there are no hints of any changes to Google's array of web-based productivity tools.

This is a privacy disaster. We're recommending that our clients take immediate action if they have Yahoo accounts (including Mail, web hosting, Flickr, or any product using a Yahoo ID). Obviously, you'll want to change to a strong password of 12 characters or more. Enable 2-factor authentication if at all possible. Yahoo will also ask if you wish to disable the security questions used in password recovery. Do this, and note the answers to the questions you'll be asked to review. Have you ever used these at another site? That's the real problem with this hack: If you've used your Yahoo password or answers to Yahoo's security questions elsewhere, those other accounts may be vulnerable to future attacks. You'll need to review any 3rd party accounts with duplicate security responses. And there's no fun way to do that. Password managers like Last Pass automate password changes at many sites, but the security questions may allow an attacker to change your password and bypass your control. Pay attention to automated notifications from non-Yahoo accounts related to password and account activity in the coming weeks. A general hint: Choose wildcard security question answers and treat them like unique passwords, recording the answers in your password manager for later reference. Use nonsense information not discoverable from public searches. For instance, if you are asked for a spouse or parent's middle name, use a string of random letters and don't repeat this pattern on another account. Just be sure you have securely recorded your responses, and wait for the industry to end this ridiculous method of identity challenge. It will cause havoc. If you're a Dark Magic client and have any questions, call or message us through the contact form on our website and we'll be happy to assist.

Facebook has a new layout for desktop and laptop users. The profile icon no longer overlaps the cover image, and tabs are more prominently displayed. This may mean you can redesign to better display your company's branding. Image dimensions haven't changed.
